I am sorry.

I am so so sorry.

There was no hesitation.
Nothing- but the smile still on his lips as his head exploded in blood and gore.

I stared at it.
Could do nothing but stare at Xiumin's still figure.

The way the blood formed a river around him.
The way his eyes were still open, the smile gone.

He looked the same as he always had with that expression.
Like he had always been dead inside.
No change but the fact that half his brain was spread out in the floor.

I couldn't rip my eyes away from it, only distantly aware my entire body was shaking, my stomach revolting as I felt like puking.
In movies, this was the moment they skipped to another scene.

But in real life... there was no off switch.
No way to escape the reality of death or the gruesomeness of it.
The finality or the undeniable fact that death would come for us all eventually.
It was as though looking at the future as I stared and stared at the still boy.
In the end, it was a sound that made it possible to look away.

A gurgling laughter, raw and wet but I would recognize it any time.
Would know the sound everywhere.
I shifted my eyes to the right.
To a laughing, bloodied Suho, is face so swollen and coloured, he was barely recognizable.

But that smile- full of the madness that lay in him as he laughed like a madman at deaths door.

"Well, w-well, old fr-riend. At l-least I'll die w-with the kno-owledge that i-in the e-end, I still won. I s-stil ruined y-your life.
L-let's see how you deal with l-losing the love o-of your life.
You can tell me all about i-it in h-hell!"

I needed a moment to understand what he was saying.
For the horror to settle.
I turned to Namjoon.
Turned to see him stand there wide eyed, also staring at Suho.

And then-

"Namjoon?"

I looked to his right.
Where Hwasa still stood, a hand pressed on her stomach, her face ashen pale, lips trembling as she turned to her boyfriend.

And Namjoon, who heard his name spoken with a shocked, confused and trembling voice.
He turned to her the moment Hwasa's knees gave out.

His eyes flew wide as he lurched forward to catch her fall.
And we all saw it.
The blood that ran between her fingers.

Lot's of it, staining her hands, arms, legs.
Too much... this was too much blood...pouring out of her like a river freed from a dam.

"No! Hwasa! Hwasa!!" Namjoon screamed, holding the woman he loved in his arms, cradling her close while the girl turned paler by the second, her lips loosing all colour.
