"T-this isn't possible... Y-you were... broken... I m-made s-sure of it."

It was clear that Kwang-Sun wasn't entirely there.

His eyes were glassy, unfocused, his skin damp with cold sweat as he tried to crawl away from the boy towering in front of him and shooting him such a dark look.

"And I made sure you were convinced. This has been an interesting game.
Truly. Even I couldn't tell who would win.
You're incredibly smart, I have to give you that."

Namjoon took a step in his direction, splinters of glass crushing under his boot and Kwang-Sun flinched.
Actually flinched.

And I couldn't help- despite it all, to feel a little bit of sympathy.

Namjoon could be scary.
Downright frightening.
The way he commanded the very air around him, made it grow colder, walked with a stillness that seemed unnatural and his eyes making him seem older than he was.

No.
This wasn't Namjoon.
This was RM.
Leader of BTS.

"But in the end, you lost."

The man on the ground stilled, like the words had ripped him out of his momentary fright.
It twisted into a mask of anger, his nostrils flaring as he managed to sit a bit straighter, snarling up at Namjoon:
"How have I lost? This isn't over, boy. You think you can beat me?
ME? I can have you all locked up in a heartbeat!
You will rot in prison and no one would even doubt a word out of my mouth.
You are nothing but lowlife.
You have corrupted my daughter, made her commit horrendous crimes!
And you have nothing against me.
And this?
I can have you arrested merely for entering my house.
I have security cameras everywhere.
I only need to show it to the police and you are done for."

"Oh, how wrong you are, dad."

I shuddered at the sound.
Shuddered as Lian pushed herself out of Tae's arms an came to stand next to Namjoon.

And maybe I had been wrong.
Maybe she was even more like Namjoon than she was like Jimin.

Because her eyes were just as cold, her stillness downright scary as she met her fathers eyes without fear- only loathing.

"L-Lian!" the man snapped, anger twisting his features again.
"Are you really this blinded by those boys? I really wanted to protect you.
But you leave me no choice. If you continue this way, I cannot guarantee your safety.
Their fate will be yours."

She smiled.
It was a smile of beauty and death in equal measures.
Her voice took on an almost eerie vibrancy, yet spoken soft and like a lovers whisper.

"You have, from the very start, underestimated me.
You thought I would not think ahead?
I am your daughter after all, am I not?
You once said I can't become a lawyer because I can't be ruthless?
You couldn't have been more wrong.
I can plan.
I can be ruthless.
I can be brilliant.
I made sure mother was out of the house tonight.
I made sure she got a call from the security company and oh so accidentally disable the security system.
There will be no evidence of what happened here.
And your dearly beloved son?"

She snorted like she found it to be utterly hilarious.

"Well, he is currently rotting away in some farmhouse basement in England where I locked him in. Probably screaming his lungs out.
About four days before dehydration sets in, right?
He's got about two more days then.
But now comes the best part."

She lowered herself slowly before him, Kwang-Sun's eyes wide and disbelieving.
She reached out to his face, the man flinching like the touch had burned through his skin while she only lovingly caressed his face.
