We chatted for hours and I didn't care. I never wanted it to end. We had our breakfast and then went for a nice walk together often leaving space between us even if we almost never disconnected our hands

"So uhh did you want to head back to your hotel?"

"I think it's a little early for that benny"

"Well I don't know of you where getting sick of me?"

"I could never" she smiled "perhaps I could finally get that chess game?"

"Yeah? Absolutely" I smiled "so... my place?"

"Well as mines a bit far I think that's best" she giggled

So I lead her to my apartment admittedly a little nervous "so" I said nervously as I let her in letting her look around the place getting her jacket off and putting her bag down

"Hummm just as I imagined it" she's smiled

"Really?"

"Umm exactly as I imagined the home of benny Watts" she giggled

"You really don't mind?"

"Not at all" she smiled sitting at the table "shall we?"

"Of course, a drink before we play?"

"Absolutely I'll have a coffee" she smiled

"Right, and I remember" I muttered, making myself a coffee and then one for her slightly differently "two spoonfuls of sugar."

"Yes" she giggled

"No creamer, because you have milk"

"Correct"

"Did I do okay?" I asked bringing her the coffee she smiled and took a sip

"Perfect benny" she smiled

"Really?"

"Absolutely perfect" she smiled so I took a seat at the table "what shall we play?"

"How about a little speed chess?"

"Alright, just no cheating" she smiled stroking her foot against my ankle

I gave her a look and she merely innocently sipped her coffee

"Then also no cheating" I warn her doing it back to her too so we ended up playing footsie under the table as we plaid speed chess. We plaid for hours game after game discussing stratagem and play with her like knowone else I'd ever met but it was getting late so I popped a record on we ordered some pizza and just sat in my living room talking about everything and nothing, talking about chess, books, our lives before we met, I never wanted it to end even if she was here for a few more days I couldn't bare the thought of her even going to her hotel tonight we ended up sat on my rug playfully playing with some chess problems I couldn't help staring at her taking in everything about her.
The way her stockings sat, how her dress caressed her so sweetly, her cardigan still around her where it was a little chilly in here, her hair slowly falling from its perfect curls where the hairspray to hold it was now fading, her Alice band still sitting perfectly,
Her sweet little make up and her beautiful smile as she toyed with the pieces.
I smiled wider then I can remember smiling before I moved my hand from the board to fix a bit of her sweet hair behind her ear making her turn more to me, I rested my hand ontop of her own feeling her soft sweet skin she glanced down at our now connected hands smiling sweetly, I could feel my heart beating out of my chest, no sounds other then my own breaths and the gentle music, I couldn't think of anything else.
I closed the gap between us pressing my lips to hers tasting the sweet vanilla lipstick feeling how smooth her lips where, for the first time in my life our kiss felt like fireworks like wave of emotion I pulled back as fast as I had closed the gap getting my breath back seeing her little face had turned bright red
"Sorry I just uhh-" I stuttered trying to apologize but she squeezed my hand and closed the gap between us pressing her lips to my own, I blushed a little too and happily kissed her back slowly and gently moving our lips together till we both pulled back unable to stop our smiles "I love you y/n"
"What?" She asked in disbelief
"I do. I love you!"
"Benny- we only met today"
"But I've known you for years. I've spent so long writing to you, occasionally hearing your sweet voice, now your here... I can't bare for you to go. I admit I'm a bit of an idiot when it comes to stuff like this but. I know I love you. As clearly I as I know the sky is blue and that knights are horses. I know I love you more then anything we said it in letters. And on the phone. Or is it now you've really met me you don't love me anymore?"
"No no no! Or course I love you benny, just a little shocked to really hear you say it" she smiled hugging me tightly nuzzling into my chest and I wrapped my arms around her holding her tightly "I love you so much"
"I love you too" I smiled trying not to cry "y/n? Will you marry me?"
"What-" she asked sitting up
"Please. I know it's sounds crazy. I know we only just really met. But I love you more then anything else. I can't even bare the thought your going to leave in a few days. I know I'm shit at this stuff but... I know, I'm meant to be with you."
"Ohh benny" she smiled slightly crying "yes"
"What-"
"Yes. I'll marry you"
"Yes! Ummmm I love you so much!" I smiled squeezing her tightly
"I love you too" she smiled
"Uhhh I uhh I didn't plan this I uhh I don't have a ring for you I'm sorry"
"That's okay" she smiled
"Uhh here" I smiled slipping my ring off and offering it to her she blushed and held out her hand so I slipped it in her finger even if it was a little big for her
"Could we head to my hotel now benny?"
'yes of course sorry-"
"I want to get my things"
"Your - your things? So you"
"Well of course I wanna stay here with my lovely fiancé"
"You mean it? You don't have to I'm happy for you to stay on the hotel it you want" I offered but she smiled and gave me a kiss
"I wanna stay here with you benny"
"Your sure?"
"I am"
"Okay, we'll go get your stuff and we can get the airbed up"
"Why? For storage? Or as a sofa?"
"I was going to say one of us would sleep on it"
"Why?" She giggled getting up to get her coat "we are engaged benny"
"You sure?"
"Positive, come on then I need my nightie"
"Maybe we could... Make do for one night?" I suggested "your welcome to borrow one of my shirts to sleep in" I smiled giving her a cuddle
"Tempting benny, but I need my make up. You won't want to marry me tomorrow when you see me without my pretty face"
"Umm yes I will."
"What about my make up remover I don't wanna be a little Panda bear"
"Awww I'm sure you'll be a cute little Panda"
"I need my things benny"
"Alright come on then we get cosy in my bed."

I woke up with a wide smile surrounded by soft cotton sheets that smelt of the sweetest lavender, I pushed my body up and yawned as I pushed the covers off me and climbed out of bed onto the warm wooden floor, I wondered across the room with a stretch to the bathroom doing my required business brushing my teeth and putting a comb thought my hair in the mirror. I grabbed my jeans from the floor and my kimono from the hook on the back of the door and I headed out the room and down the staircase heading to the kitchen settings the kettle on the hob to heat grabbing the milk from the fridge, a cup from the hooks and the coffee canister making myself a strong brew taking it as I headed thought the corridor past the many different rooms sipping it all the while I turned at the last rooms door heading inside past the bookshelves lined with titles and nick nacks, past the desks and tables with various items laid out as always, the fireplace with the flames long extinguished, I stopped a moment moving one of my pieces on the board going to see how long it'll take her to notice I moved it, I walked through the room to the large open doors onto the patio that over looked the sweet garden
"Morning Benny" her voice chirped up
I smiled seeing her beside the door in her little wooden rocking chair Alice band in her hair, her sweet little black dress with her white apron around her, in her little ballerina shoes, the manuscript for my new book in her hand editing for me as she had been all week
"Good morning" I smiled leaning down to give her cheek a kiss "how's it going?"
"Fine, might need to rewrite this last chapter" she says playfully
"Umm you said that about the last one"
"You require alot of editing benny I'm sorry"
"It's fine. Half of its you"
"Why?"
"Colour"
"It has a U"
"Not it doesn't"
"Yes it does my love"
"Where are they anyway? It's normally noiser then this" I asked looking across the garden between the flowers and trees
"Three guesses" she giggled
So I looked across the garden seeing the little wooden swing set and slide even if all they ever plaid with was
"Check mate!" Little bobby yelled as he plaid with the large chess board we got them the pieces almost as big as them
"No!! That's an illegal move!" Clarise yelled at him
"Oi! Play nice you two!" I yelled at them
"Daddy!" They both smiled having not noticed I was up so ran over to give me a cuddle
"Hey kids. Who's winning?"
"I'm am!" Bobby smiled excitedly
"Only because he cheats" Clarise argued
"Bobby Watts have you been cheating?" I warned
"Maybe"
"Good boy. Use your stratagem. Go on them you two best two out of three gets a cupcake" I told them so they bolted for the board to continue playing
"Your so sweet to them" she smiled
"There good kids really." I smiled "we are missing one aren't we?"
"Hum?"
"Bobby, Clarise... Where's warren?"
"Oh... In his crib I let him have an extra nap this morning" she smiled hurrying off
I smiled having more of my coffee watching the kids play and she happily came back with little warren in her arms letting me give him a cuddle
"Hello little boy, did you have a good sleep?"
"Big sleep" he giggled
"Good boy," I smiled giving him a kiss
"Give me my baby boy" y/n smiled taking him from me so she could have a cuddle too so I smiled and cuddled her tightly
"Ummm I love you so much my sweet wife"
"I love you too benny. Come on we'll go help them with their game" she smiled
