The weather was dreary, with dark clouds threatening an impending September rain. The tall red building was adorned with vibrant colours painted onto the bricks, and it was enclosed by a large, striking green gate, which concealed an assortment of toys and climbing frames. As the first day of school commenced, the young students excitedly walked hand in hand with their parents, ready to begin their educational journey. A small red station wagon pulls into a parking space bright and early.

Y/n switched off the engine and casually flipped her vibrant Y/h/c braid over her shoulder before turning her attention to young Amberley. Sitting in the passenger seat, Amberley wore lace-up shoes, tall green socks with a crisp white stripe around the top, little green shorts, a white shirt, and a coordinating green jacket. Her sleek, low ponytail showcased her blonde locks impeccably.

"You ready?" Y/n asked,

"Yeah!" Amberley nodded excitedly,

"Okay, let's go then." She smiled climbing out of the car and coming around to help Amberley out of the car, carrying her bag for her as they headed to the gates Y/n knelt down to her level, "You sure you're ready?"

"I'm sure mama." she nodded,

"Alright, be a good girl. Promise?" Y/n pulled her into a hug,

"I promise," Amberley smiled hugging Y/n back,

"I'll pick you up later okay?"

"Okay, mama!" She nodded, taking her bags and lunch box, "Bye-bye Mama!" She waved as she ran inside the school,

At almost five minutes to nine, when all the other parents are long gone and the school day about to begin, a blue beetle shakes into the car park, Pulling up as close to the gate as possible.

Benny jumps out without even turning the car off, bolting around and helping out little Everleigh, in her shiny black shoes, white tights, and little black and white striped dress, with her blonde hair in pigtails.

"Come on sweet girl," He said as he got her to the gates, "Okay, you be a good girl, and I'll be back to pick you up after the bell alright?" He cooed as he quickly pulled a little white bow from his pocket and tieing it up in her hair for her,

"You won't be late?"

"I promise I won't be late my little lady," he chuckled, "Go on go meet your new class."

Everleigh quickly hugged Benny's legs, He smiled and patted her little bow leaning down to kiss her head.

"Bye Daddy," she cooed,

"Bye Everleigh," he smiled,

She smiled and ran off towards the doors,

"Ooh! Little lady! Lunch." He quickly tossed her the brown paper bag with her lunch,

"Thank you," she waved as she ran in,

Following a prolonged assembly, the students were grouped into their respective classes for the upcoming academic year. Under the guidance of their teachers, they were then led to their designated classrooms.

"Okay Oscar next to Arthur, then Lidnsey next to Mya, Daniel next to Peter..." Mrs Clemintine explained, "And then Amberley next to Everleigh- Oh-"

The moment the two girls approached the desk, time seemed to stand still. Their eyes locked, and they both froze in shock as they saw their own likenesses reflected in each other. The other students and teacher appeared equally astonished at the unexpected meeting between the two girls.

"Oh my... you girls are a mirror image of each other," Mrs Clemintine chuckled, "Well take your seats, everyone,"

The class worked on their activity for the morning, making family trees, the students all chatted and shared their crayons while they made sketching drawings. Amberley and Everleigh worked on sharing their pencils as they worked.
