Mother and I dock our ship in the dark cave where I took the Marine ship to get to Ace. I don't regret that decision in the slightest but it felt weird being back in the place that started all the madness. It had been almost a full year since I left the Amazon Lily.

I left when I was nineteen, full of hope and anticipation for what adventure I was going to go on. Through my journey I've been dealing with situation after situation which I had no control over. I couldn't do anything and was practically useless. At least I felt pretty useless as life beat me down over and over again.

Now I'm twenty, and I'm ready to stabilize my life. I'm ready to take back control and my first step to doing that is beating some invaders asses and reclaiming my homeland.

I wore a long light green dress with two slits up the sides. It had embroidered red and yellow flowers across it and a halter neckline. The dress was sleeveless with a low cut open back.

Mother and I hopped off the ship landing on the ground of our home. It felt good to be back despite the circumstances. "Should we see how many enemies are here first?"

"Normally that's what I would do. However in this scenario we need to find the women first and see how many of us there are." Mother grinds her teeth, "if they lay a finger on even one of them then I'll make their execution excruciatingly painful." She threatens.

We walk through the dense forest and think of places they may be. "If we had to hideout because our homelands been taken over, where would we go?" I wonder out loud. "Maybe the birthing grounds."

"No. Too sacred to be used for anything other then what it is. We can't disrespect it by letting the blood of our enemies on its grounds."

"The palace?" I suggest.

Mother tilts her head to the side in contemplation before shaking her head no. "Probably taken over by now if those pirates are still here. It would leave the women way too vulnerable and there's not enough space to move around. It would have to be someplace undetectable where they could move around without the enemy ever finding them." She explains.

We go silent for a while and think of places. There were many places on the island they could escape to but only one made sense. "My house!" I exclaim in realization. "Think about it, they know where it is and how it's close to clean water. It also has an abundance of plants with food and is far enough away that it would be almost impossible to find. Plus there are tons of hiding spots if it is found."

We stop walking and mother thinks on it for a moment. "You're right. That would make the m-"

She went quiet.

I look at my mother with a knowing glance and we jump into the trees above us. We silently land on a branch as the sounds of the ground crunching reaches us. It was getting closer and the voices talking were much deeper then ours.

'Men,' I mouth to my mother and she nods in confirmation. My eyes set into a glare as two men appear below us.

"Odd. I could've sworn I heard the sound of a sweet woman around here," a slurred voice laughs.

His buddy nudges him, "must've been one of the ones boss man didn't catch. That would be so much sweeter since these ones fight."

Hatred boiled in my chest at what they said. I could hardly comprehend it. My vision was going red and bloodlust oozed off my body in waves. How dare they? How dare they speaks on this matter like it's nothing with little regard for the lives they are hurting? No less they are hurting my people! I can't stand it!
