The Whitebeard Pirates

Ace looked at the moving piece of paper in his hands and adjusts the steering wheel to match its direction. Back at the ball, Whitebeard gave Ace his vivre card since Ace lost the other one.

He was also given his own vivre card to give to y/n for emergencies.

Ace did so when she became conscious and now followed Whitebeards as it would lead him to his crew mates. They were on the Grand Line surprisingly enough and not in the New World. Going to the New World in the position he was in would have been difficult so he was thankful for that.

After y/n had stopped sobbing, she instructed Ace to chain her up in the ship. She didn't want to be taken over and try to kill him again. They fought over this with Ace saying he could easily subdue her but y/n insisted he wouldn't get that lucky twice.

In the end, he folded. One charming smile and it was game over for the second division commander.

After the first time, y/n only 'woke up' once more and hasn't since. She was chained up with strong chains in the prison cells below deck so Ace couldn't hear her shouts. She was undoubtedly cursing him out but he only visited her twice a day for meals in which he hand feed her because he couldn't undo her confinement.

Ace squinted in the sunlight trying to make out what he saw in the distance. The vivre card pointing him in that direction and he could make out the rough outline of a large ship.

Once he got closer he saw it was, in fact, the ship he had been searching for. The Moby Dick. Whitebeard almost never left the ship unless it was important.

Ace's face lit up and he frantically started waving to his friends even if they were far away. "Hey! Everyone! I'm back!" He shouts for them partially because he's excited to see them again and partially because he didn't want them blowing up the Navy ship he took refuge in.

Ace kept shouting to them until he finally got a response. "Ace! Welcome back!" His friends lined up at the railing of the Moby Dick and called out to him with their own cheers of excitement.

"Hey Ace!"

"Long time no see!"

"Everyone! Ace is home!"

Ace felt tears prick the corners of his eyes as his ship catches up with the Moby Dick. He didn't truly realize how much he was loved until Marineford and now to see them after, he fully felt at home.

He wipes his eyes before they can see the way they watered; though a couple of his crew mates were full on bawling so there wouldn't be a need to be embarrassed. He wanted to get off this ship and jump to them, letting it drown or wander the seas. But then he remembered his love below deck and how he had to save her from her fathers hypnosis.

"Pass me a tether!" He yells to the group of rowdy men.

Some of the Whitebeard pirates give each other confused looks until some of them got their bearings and started scrambling for what he asked for.

"Eh? Why do you need that?"

"Let the Marine ship drown!"

A couple of them protested his decision with shouts of disagreement.

Ace didn't respond as a tether was thrown to his ship and he tied it around the figurehead. He tugged it a few times to make sure it was secure and only stopped when he was satisfied with his work.
