It was late afternoon when you finally arrived at the villa, a van picking you up from the airport. The drive was almost an hour, Nabi thoroughly over being contained fussed and protested the entire way. There wasn't a single toy, goofy face, or song that would console her.
By the time the four of you pulled up at the white gates with wrought iron swirls you barely had the energy to admire it. The driveway weaved through tall trees the gravel crunching beneath the tires until you reached a sheltered portico.
The house itself was sprawling in both directions, a single story it twisted around the landscape with its cream colored walls. When you were out of the van you could hear the ocean beyond but couldn't see it guessing it was behind the house.
"Welcome! I'm Reyna, the house manager." A woman speaking English approached smiling pleasantly and explained she'd help you find your rooms.
The last hour of the flight you'd used your wifi to message Suyee. You'd caught her up on everything during the week but you needed her to reality check you one more time. You were not going to let ten days of sun and sex change your mind. Jung Hoseok was down to three weeks before you were done, there was no looking back.
The house was lovely, decorated with tasteful furniture but nothing too elegant. Comfortable couches and chairs sprawled across a huge living room that caught breezes from wide open windows. Beyond it was a dining room with enough seats for twenty around its dark wooden table.
The first room you reached the lady motioned to Ji-woo and they disappeared into it. After a moment she came back out into the hallway.
"Come look so you can see where Nabi is sleeping." Ji-woo was smiling for the first time in hours, the tiredness from dealing with her cranky daughter swept away.
The room was large, bright windows with gauzy curtains overlooking a sliver of sandy beach. The water was so blue it made you gasp, the white sand starting only a few meters from their patio door.
A bathroom opened to one side and a small alcove to the the other, inside a crib was set up and a large rug in front of it. Nabi was already on its colorful surface scooting around and exploring things with her grabbing hands.
"Everyone else arrived this morning. My parents, his parents," she motioned to her husband who sat on the floor with Nabi, "his sister and friend. I think we're going to relax for a little bit then meet everyone on the beach? Apparently there's a huge covered patio off the kitchen where we'll have dinner."
"That's correct, dinner will be served at eight, three hours." Reyna confirmed motioning you toward the door.
You followed her down the hall, winding through another sitting area, past a kitchen already occupied by two people cooking. The food smelled wonderful but she didn't pause and soon enough you were on the opposite side of the house.
"This is you." She opened the door and you were transfixed by the beauty of the room.
The windows went almost to the ceiling, the same style curtains as Ji-woo's but the breeze blowing through them smelled strongly of the ocean. The view was breathtaking, panoramic views of the ocean as it gently lapped at the beach. You noticed a fence to one side that snaked around the side of the house but otherwise your view was unimpeded.
There was a bathroom, closet, and small sitting area that faced the windows, all fairly standard. It was the view that sold the room.
"Thank you Reyna." You turned hearing Hobi's voice and the woman smiled and left.
"Hi." You were suddenly feeling awkward like you hadn't seen him two days ago, or sent him dirty pics hours ago.
"I'd kiss you but only my room is a safe zone." He raised a brow and nodded his head behind him from where he stood in the doorway.
