The Leader of D. I. C. E has been cornered by the rising prodigy detective Shuichi Saihara...

"But he's just a teenager..." Shuichi shouted in horror as the police raise their guns to end the threat.

"Well than. Go on! Shoot me!" The leader laughed his eyes glowing with pure malice.

"NO DON'T SHOOT! THIS ISN'T RIGHT!" Shuichi begged.

A police man goes to fire, but Shuichi's uncle stops him the bullet misses the thief's face.

"Hold your fire!" He shouted much to the thief's disappointment.

The thief had been caught and soon his life would rot away in prison not that he cared, but he didn't predict what would happen next.

A file slams on the table in front of the restrained thief sitting at the desk, "As of today. You are adopted. You'll be living with Shuichi Saihara and his uncle. You will be on probation, doing community service and you are to have a patrol officer escort you everywhere you go until your sentence is served. You best be thanking whatever gods for this miracle, because you won't get off so easily next time." The police man spat.

"Adopted?!?" The thief laughed like crazy, "Are you serious? Who the hell is crazy enough to try taming me? You might as well throw me into jail!" The thief bragged.

"Mr. Saihara has already taken care of everything. As of today. Your a Saihara now Mr. Oma. Best you behave or you might get jail time next time." The police man growled.

Thus the once renowned professional criminal Kokichi starts his new life over as the 'brother' of Shuichi Saihara and new student of Hope's Peak Academy with a few strings attached.

The purple haired leader waited boredly with handcuffs in his cell for the two blue haired detectives to reach his cell.

"Don't bother running away. If you do. Your group will be get more than just patrol." The older blue haired guy explains.

"As if you actually caught them." The leader smugly remarked looking at the younger blue haired boy boredly.

"Well... not yet... but at least with this agreement they won't be shot on sight." The older man explains as the leader look back at him frowning.

"I see... So if I play good boy my group will at least live... you really think I trust these trigger happy pigs to keep such a promise." He smiled at an officer that looked like he wanted to beat the ever living snot out of him.

The cell door opens and the older detective was already undoing the leader's cuff, "If they try it. I'll nail their asses hard for killing minors... I've talked with the council about everything and got them to agree with me. If the police should find your teammates... My wife and I will take them into our custody as well with you." The detective explains.

"I doubt you can care for so many teenagers." The leader rubbed his wrists watching the older detective with distain.

"Can't do worse than you. Who has been endangering their lives with these unnecessary heists." The older detective explains.

"It's only unnecessary, because your too blind to see what I see. Regardless I'll yield for now. I'm curious to where this will go." The leader explains as the detective nodded to the guard who sighed hatefully.

"You're free to go Mr. Oma. But mind you. We sent a patrol officer to check in on you and follow you around. You also must report to your community service office every Sunday to collect trash for twelve hours. Be grateful to the Saihara's if it was up to the rest of us you be in jail!" The police spat.
