Zombie Apocalypse Pt 2 (Finale)

She took us to a strange door with magnetic locks and a camera. The door opened when she pressed her hand to the scanner. We entered the door only to have it swung behind us and lock into place. Suddenly we were sprayed down and air dried as if we walked into a decontamination chamber.

As we stepped through another door activated by her handprint we were what appeared to be a secrete underground military Air Force base.

"Holy shit! Was this here the whole time?" Rantaro asked in awe.

"Don't touch the jets!" She explains and we heard footsteps rushing over towards up, "Hands up." She ordered and we all put our hands up.

A boy with blackish purple hair in a leather coat was pointing an AK-14 at us, "Sis? What the hell?" He lowers the AK-14 removing his hood to reveal he was the girl's identical other.

"This is Shindo my twin. I met him after I let go my team on one of my supply runs." She sighed.

"Why are there other people here?" He asked tiredly and I tensed seeing all the blood on him.

"Is he infected?" I cried.

"He will be if he doesn't be more carefully murdering all the friggin zombies and getting their blood on him! Go wipe off geez! I can't believe you still going out killing them for the fun of it! You're really a sick freak!" Kokichi got in Shindo's face even though he was three inches taller than her.

"I'm sorry. But remind me again who's kept you alive for this long and taught you to use a fcking crossbow?" I don't want to hear you hating on me cause of my talent. Besides less zombie out there is better for everyone including you." Shindo glared his sister down coldly.

"Whatever go get changed!" Kokichi didn't back down as she put her hands in her hips.

Shindo just sighed and went to go get changed and cleaned up.

"My older twin brother." She explains sighing.

"Charming." Rantaro just smiled.

"How long has this been your base?" I looked around in awe.

"Since the outbreak started. No actually before. This is DICE's stronghold our last resort.... And... even it wasn't enough..." Kokichi looks at the ground.

"Has it been breached?!?" I was scared now.

"No not breached... it's just the area isn't made to host a large of people especially with the limited supplies... I've even tried growing what I've could... but than realized... how do I know if the soil isn't contaminated or is there going to be enough bottled water to feed the plants and ourselves?!? Without the ability to make new resources that aren't contaminated... this place literally becomes a death trap..." Kokichi shakes her head.

"So you're team left despite it's perks." Rantaro understands.

"They went to search for a cure. They rather die out there looking for a cure than die in here doing nothing... I wanted to join them... but... they made me stay here. So if they come back..." Kokichi hangs her head in sadness.

"You can let them in." I held my chest in pain.

"Why does this base have hand print scanners and decontamination areas?" Rantaro asked.

"Oh the decontamination chamber was a recent addition! I doubt it helps, but hey at least we covering our bases. And like I said... this has been our base for like a good four years. We've had years to deck it's security measures out and make a pretty dam good fort if you ask me!" Kokichi beamed.

Shindo returned in cleans clothes and tosses them all a can of grape panta, "Drink up. It's all we got." He explains.

"We've got clean water thanks." Rantaro passed.
