In the dead of night Rantaro felt the call of his talent and immediately opened his eyes. He groaned and sighed as he sat up and held his chest. It was no good. Even if he told himself that he needed to stay here to protect what was left of his sisters, his heart and talent refused to let him to go back to sleep.

Reluctantly he gets up to get dressed and head outside for some air. Surely after wondering around this energy of his would vanish soon enough and yet his talent was leading him somewhere important. He mindlessly climb over fences, walked through dark alleyways with no fear, and quickly crossed streets and highways avoiding getting hit.

Just what in the world had his talent picked up now? Rantaro continued down an alleyway and than froze. Instinctively he looked up at the sky a rare habit people do. He saw something falling from the sky and felt his adrenaline kick in. Somehow he caught whatever it was and slammed into the ground from the sheer force the object was falling from.

Wait... not an object...

It's a pair of kids! Twins of looks like. Oh god there's blood. Blood everywhere!

Quickly Rantaro recovers by shoving the twins off himself to the side trying to look for the wound, but one twin refused to let go of the other. He was gripping his twin as of his life depends on it and somehow not a single tear fell from the boys pale face as his body trembled.

"Hey! Where are you hurt?!?" Rantaro shouted shaking the twin who seemed conscious to get their attention.

The purple haired boy slowly looked at Rantaro as if he was an engemia and from the look in his purple eyes it looks like he was in shock.

"Are you hurt? Is it the other person?" Rantaro tried to explain and make sure to speak slowly so the boy can register his words properly.

The conscious twin's eyes went wide with sudden realization and than they finally stopped shaking as they calmed down removing themselves from their twin's body. Their white clothes were stained in red from their twin's gunshot wound on his head. It seemed the bullet grazed the boy and he was still very much alive.

If Rantaro hadn't been here. If he hadn't been on his walk... this boy would be dead and the conscious twin might of survived but at what cost?

"Hold on. I can help!" Rantaro began fumbling through his cargo pants for band aids, antistatic wipes, and antibiotic cream.

He first cleans the wound and makes sure it won't need any stitches. It doesn't seem like it will and he easily bandages the boy's head. The conscious twin watches him trying to keep his focus from drifting away.

"There that outta do it." Rantaro smiled at the boy and sees the conscious twin look up at the building next to them.

Rantaro hears it to and looks up to see a bunch of people rushing down the fire escape and sees some of them holding deadly weapons. He looks back at the conscious twin who struggles to stand up and grab his twin's arm.

"Let me help hide you both. There's no way you're taking him far from those guys on your own." Rantaro picks the unconscious twin up bridal style as he stands up.

The purple haired boy's eyes go wide and than he nods reluctantly as he tried to relax his body language.

"Here get on my back. You look like your about to pass out yourself." Rantaro squat down to allow the boy to cling to his back and ride it.

The purple haired boy reluctantly climbs onto Rantaro's back as Rantaro shifts a bit to hold them both as best as possible. Last thing he needed was the one on his back falling off and hurting himself.

"By the way. My name is Rantaro Amami and you two are?" Rantaro asked as he takes off once both twins were safely in his grasp.

"K... Kokichi... and that's... my brother... Shindo." The purple haired boy on his back weakly spoke but with an air of confidence.
