Despair School

The real Jabberwock Island has been remade into the base for the ex Ultimate Despairs and Hope's Peak Academy has been rebuilt to be run my Makoto Naegi. All seems like it's on its way to healing.

Hajime sits on the beach with Nagito looking out at the sunset together. They both know that time is against them in more ways than one. Nagito's luck has always been a great reminder to both of them on how fragile humans are.

Though in Nagito's case he's been lucky so far thanks to the help of Hajime/Izuru. Yet now that they are thirty they both find themselves asking the same questions. How much time do we have left? What happens when it ends?

"Hey.... I... don't want to be the downer that brings this up... but I was just curious.... What happens to the world after we are you know... gone?" Nagito sighed.

"You're not being a downer. In fact... that's crossed my mind a few times as well." Hajime sighed as he stared at the gentle waves.

"I... Want this hope to keep going... to continue forever." Nagito explains.

"I don't know if that's what this world needs though. While hope is good... is it really what's best for this world?" Hajime counter.

"What you think despair is better?" Nagito frowned.

"No. Honestly. I don't think either is good. We've kinda of seen that both sides can do good and bad. So why not neither?" Hajime asked.

"Neither hope or despair... or equal parts both?" Nagito asked.

"I don't know. You must think I'm crazy talking like this." Hajime sighed.

"I guess there is a weird hopeful outcome that comes from choosing neither... so I don't think it's crazy." Nagito nodded.

"But... I feel like... we should at least do something ya know? I just don't know what." Hajime sighed.

"How about we run a school like Mr. Naegi is doing?" Nagito asked.

"A school... for what? Talented people who are under the despair influence still?" Hajime asked.

"I mean... why not?" Nagito shrugged.

"Hmmm... alright let's try it." Hajime nodded.

-Thus the Academy for Gifted Juveniles was born-

Hajime begins filling out a sheet on who is going to do what class, "Okay there's sixteen of us. So that give us sixteen majors we can choose from. But I have to see who's going to be okay with what major..." Hajime sighed.

"We need basics like Math, Science, English/Japanese, History, Physical Education, and Art/Music first." Nagito suggests.

"Don't worry Music is covered with me!" Ibuki chimed.

"We got physical education!" Akane and Nekomaru chimed.

"I might be able to help with math and a little bit of science. You need that to make things and get stuff working at times." Kazuichi chimed.

"Hmmm." Hajime thinks about this.

"I might be able to teach some history." Sonia offered sweetly.

"I could be the school nurse and teach health classes!" Mikan gushed.

"I can teach the students to dance." Hiyoko smirked.

"I can teach everyone how to cook and cook for everyone!" Teruteru chimed.

"I can take everyone's pictures and make the year books. Maybe even teach photography!" Mahiru looks excited.

"I could teach them the way of sword." Peko nodded.
