You are Shuichi Saihara. An eighteen year old detective boy, who lives with your uncle Kasaru, who is the director of the National intelligence agency that you work at.

You are currently looking for your next case and have a bit of downtime, despite also being in your senior year of high school. Due to the nature of your work you're not close to anyone at school, but you seem to have a secret admirer, who keeps leaving you presents everywhere to find.

You've been called to your uncle's office after a week of inactivity and are grateful to finally be receiving your next case. It's an international case as in it had once started in America and is now showing up in Japan.

The case is the following. A bunch of lock roomed murders made to look like suicide attempts. The victims are all those who have killed another person The American detective has explained that this is the work of a serial killer known as the Reaper. A tall white haired man dressed in all black, who witness have seen stalking around after midnight. Your job is to find the culprit and arrest them, however, you'd uncle is hesitant.

"Shuichi... I don't think you should go alone. Not on this case. I'd feel better if you have a partner go with you." Your uncle explained as you sat in the chair looking over the file for the case.

"I have a partner, but he's not here right now. I can't drag him along on a case like this, it'd be too suspicious." You tell him.

"And why haven't I been informed of this partnership? You know how I feel about keeping things in the records. I should at least met them, to give them temporary police authority." You'd uncle sighed. "And also, I want you to be careful. Don't take on too much. Go easy on the investigating, take it slow and be back before curfew." Your uncle told you.

"Yeah yeah." You sighed, "You'll met my partner eventually. We've got to work things out. Okay?" You assured him, "So let me do this! I can do this!" You swore.

The next day you talked to your partner, Kokichi, who was a short man with a big brain. "Oh wowie! You're asking for my help again for another of your cases?!? Nehehehe! But of course!" He gushed.

"I don't really know anyone at the agency... and your the only one at school that more or less I talk too... and you've bragged about being a supreme leader of an organization... and you did well with that one case I tested you with... so... your as good as anyone." You tell him.

"You sure you don't want someone big and strong like Gonta? Or friendly like Rantaro? Maybe loud as Kaito. Oh what about Kaede?!? You two really get along and she loves helping you with your detective stuff!" Kokichi asked.

"I dont want to endanger them." You admit.

"Oh but it's okay to endanger me... I get it." Kokichi sighed.

"Do you want to help me or not?" You sighed.

"You can count on me! So what's the case?" He gushed.

"We are going after a serial killer, who calls themselves the reaper. They are from America but seems to have come here. So midnight tonight we are going to follow these five likely targets to see if the reaper shows up and then arrest him." You explained.

"Okay! So where to?" Kokichi asked you.

"We're going to meet at the precinct, then take a van to the target locations." You explain.

"Should I bring anything with me for our case? A gun? Taser whatever?" Kokichi asked you.

"You will have your bat. The reaper is said to be very strong. But for our other equipment, we'll just bring the police van." You tell him.
