Welcome to the rewritten version! This is my most popular story by far, so I figured, why not rewrite it? I did enjoy writing this story, and now that I have some more experience with writing, I want to rewrite this, so that when I add new chapters, the writing style won't be completely different.

Y/N POV

A train pulls into the train station. A young Inkling walks out, suitcase in hand. This man is Y/n L/n, Inkopolis' newest resident.

Y/N-"Well, here I am, Inkopolis." 

I walk out of the station, and into the Square. There are many inklings all around the Square, and buildings line the edges. Many of them are shops, all specializing in certain things. Ammo Knights for all your weapon needs, Headspace to cover your wack-ass haircut, Crusty Sean's food truck, the Crust Bucket, for you to eat yourself into a heart attack, Shella Fresh, where you can get some real Jordan's instead of your fake ones, and Ye Olde Clothe Shoppe, where you can get a nice shirt or jacket. And then there's the Deca Tower, which is where the Great Zapfish is. See, right- It's gone

Y/N- 'That can't be good...'

 The large screen on the Deca Tower flickers to life and the theme of the News anchors and idol group, Off The Hook, plays. The two members, Pearl and Marina, begin casting news, as a newscaster does.

Pearl- "Y'all know what time it is!"

Marina- "It's Off The Hook, coming at you live from Inkopolis Square!"

Pearl- "Check it! Here are the current Regular Battle stages."

Marina then spins two records, which then changes the screen and shows the 2 battle stages.

Pearl- "Look at me! I'm Marina! BLAH BLAH BLAH!"

Marina- "Haha! Yeah, that's so me!"

Y/N- "Heh"

Pearl- "And these are the current Ranked Battle stages!"

Marina used the records to change the screen again

Pearl- "Ahhhh! I love the smell of the salty sea air!"

Marina- "But how can you tell it apart from your enemy's tears?"

Y/N- "So true"

Pearl- "Here are the League Battle stages!"

Marina spins the records again to show the two current battle stages.

Y/N- 'Are they going to ignore the fact that the Great Zap Fish is missing or what?'

Pearl- "Uh... Why is our producer freaking out? Read the teleprompter, Marina!"

Marina- "Huh? Let's see here..."

Marina switched the screen with her records, again.
