To make and bake shortbread cookies,
isn't that hard to be quite honest. It's a
simple cookie recipe that doesn't require
anything fancy, or even any sort of icings
or decorations! Just eating it as it is, still
warm from the oven is pure bliss. This
delicate cookie will melt in your mouth,
due to the butter and sugar, creamed
together within this type of recipe.First off, you don't want to over-mix
your cookie dough. And that goes
for pretty much any cookie recipe.
Overmixing causes the cookie to
become too tough and hard after it
has been baked. Whether your aim
is to have your cookie crunchy or soft,
No crumbly or chewy, you do not want a
"tough cookie."The next tip I will share, is for the
baking process. Now, if you were
to mix this dough, cut/shape it, and
throw it in the oven soon after, your
cookies would be under the risk of
spreading more than you'd like.
To solve this, throw your products
into the fridge or freezer and give
them a few minutes to chill and
firm up once again. Doing this will
help ensure that your shortbread will
not spread, and rather, they will hold
