Hibiscus is a perennial type of plant that
can come in a variety of forms; however,
it is the Hibiscus Sabdariffa that is the
most commonly used. It is a shrub
marked by red stems and wide-yellow
flowers that can change to red or/and
pink. Hibiscus also contains anthocyanin.
Anthocyanins are responsible for the
red pigmentation of the flowers. Hibiscus
flowers, seeds, leaves, and stems can be
used for culinary, cosmetic, and medicinal
uses.Medicinally, hibiscus can be used to treat
issues such as; liver problems, high blood
pressure, it can stimulate diuretic effects,
and reduce high cholesterol, with its plentiful
bioactive compounds and nutrients - such as;
flavonoids, phenolic acids, and organic acids.
Which ones, depend on the part of the plant
that is used.From a practitioner's viewpoint, hibiscus
is often used in spells revolving around;
love, lust, passion, marriage, harmony,
dreams, and divination.
It is considered a potent aphrodisiac in
ancient Egyptian culture, as it was said
that after drinking it as a tea, women
became much more lustful.
Alternatively, it is said that burning
hibiscus as an incense to increase the
romantic passion between two partners.
On another aspect, you can sleep with
hibiscus under or near our pillow to draw
in prophetic dreams.Typically, hibiscus is associated with the
deities, Venus/Aphrodite. The astrological
signs, Aquarius and Scorpio. The crystals;
rose quartz, orange carnelian, and garnet.
