When your breads and buns are ready
to bake, it is good to be mindful of the
type of wash you will use, if any.
When referring to "wash", it means to
brush, or spray, the ready-to-bake pro-
ducts with a liquid component. Eggs
and water, in my opinion, are two of
the most commonly used. You may
also want to try brushing your yeast
products with milk!
Even a combination may produced
a more desired outcome of your liking.
That being said, different types of
washes will produce different effects
to your finished product.
Aside from washes, you may also
choose to dust your breads/buns
with a little flour. Now, doing this
will give them a nice rustic look
that, to me, speaks artisan made.
