Star Anise - Illicium Verum, is an eight-
pointed star-shaped spice that is popular
in cooking, giving dishes a notable licorice
flavour.
Star Anise contains many bioactive
compounds that may hold significant;
antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and
antioxidant properties.
In the witch's cupboard, you will
most likely see this little spice in
There. With its star-shaped figure,
Star anise has been favoured by
modern witches with its abilities
to; increase psychic awareness,
bring about luck; prosperity,
power, and protection.
Star Anise is definitely one of my
favourite spices to work with. Both
in the kitchen and in my practice!
So, as I do, keep in mind all this
lovely little spice can do! A little
can go a long way.
