Dan:

"Are you sure it's not too much trouble?" Cassie asked you for the seventeenth time that day.

"Cassie, you are my friend! I insist!" You assured your worried friend. "It will be no problem at all, you have nothing to worry about."

She beamed and hugged you. "Thank you so much Y/N! I'll pay you back somehow! I promise!" You chuckled.

"So where are the adorable little buggers?"

"They're with their father right now. I'm about to go pick them up right now!" Cassie was a single mom who was going on a business meeting for a couple of days.

"Oh, okay! I'll be at my flat then." You say, following her out the door.

"Sounds like a plan!"

You were reading a book when there was a knock on the door.

"It's unlocked!" You yelled. The door opened and in came two little kids with Cassie, one of which was in her arms sleeping.

"I really do appreciate it, Y/N." Cassie whispered, laying the girl out on the couch and covering her up in a small purple blanket. She looked to be about 2, maybe 3. She had short blonde hair like her mom.

"This is Natalie, and that's Dil!" Dil had brown hair and was kind of just leaning against the wall. His fringe covered his eyes. He looked to be about 5 or 6.

Cassie went over and talked to Dil for a bit until hugging and kissing him.

"See you in a couple days!" And with that, she left.

Dil sat on the couch with his sister.

"So, Dil is it?" You asked him. Dil nodded. "How old are you?"

"This many!" He held up 4 fingers. He had a very british accent.

"Oh, so you're in kindergarden?"

"I start next week. Natalie's in pre-school."

Natalie opened her eyes and yawned.

"Oh no! The lizard is awake!" Dil screeched. He ran into the bathroom and hid.

It was going to be a long 4 days.

Phil

You were on the phone with one of your friends.

"I'm going on a trip for a few days. No one is free long enough." She sighed.

"I'll do it." You volunteered.

"Really? Oh, no no no no no!" She cried out. "Surely you'll be busy at the animal shelter."

"I only volunteer. I don't do it everyday."

  "It just...seems like a lot of work for you to handle."

"I'm almost 23! I can handle a kid for a couple days."

"But--"

"Nope! I'm coming over there right now. Pack up her things!"

You hung up. You first tidied up around the flat before you left. You wanted to make your friend's daughter feel right at home.

  You knocked on your friend's door.

There was a moment of silence until the door opened.

"F/N! Nice to see you!"

You smiled and hugged her.

"Y/N, you're so nice to do this on such a short notice!" She gushed.

"Aw, you're just saying that 'cause it's true."

"I mean it." She let you in. "It'll only be a few minutes. Louise! Time to go!" She yelled, disappearing into a door. You sat on a nearby chair.

You saw awards hung up all around the place of her name.

Louise's many A's on her papers. Her awards for 1st in Cheerleading.

Moments later, a girl with long black hair skipped out with her backpack on. She looked about 7.

"Ello!" She greeted with her thick british accent. "You must be miss Y/N!"

You smiled.

"I'm Louise!"

"Well, Hi Louise! Looks like we'll be having a sleepover!"

"Indeed!" She then turned to her mom. "Bye mum. I'll miss you." They hugged as the three of you walked out the door.

"Bye! Be good!" F/N called, heading into her car.

As you both got into your car, she smiled at you.

"May we get some gelato?" She asked.

"Sure thing!" You agreed.

This was going to be a walk in the park.
