When He Meets Your Parents

Dan:

You were nervous about Dan meeting your parents. Why? Because he doesn't exactly have a job, and your mom and dad were very strict. You told Dan to be on his best behavior. It had to be a great first impression.

  When you knocked on their door, your heart was beating rapidly.

"Calm down." Dan whispered, kissing your cheek. You sighed and nodded.

The door opened.

"Come on in!"

After wiping your feet on the placemat, you both stepped in. There was your mom, setting up dinner.

"Well, hello Y/N!" She smiled and hugged you.

"Hi mom." You hugged back.

"Is this your boyfriend?" She held her hand out. Dan shook it.

"That I am!" He kissed her hand. The mom smiled. "My name is Dan Howell."

Your dad came downstairs. You ran up to him and hugged him. "Dad!"

"Hey there!" He looked past you and narrowed his eyes. "Who's this?"

"That's my boyfriend, Dan!" You chirped happily.

"So I see...well hello there, Dan!" He shook his hand.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, sir!"

Everyone was at the table, eating scones (bleh) silently. Your father decided to speak up.

"So, Dan!"

Dan looked up.

"What do you do for a living?"

Dan swallowed his scone. "Well, I work in entertainment."

You started getting nervous. What will your father say?

"That's very nice, Dan." Your mother said. You smiled weakly. Your father asked Dan a few more questions, and he got to the last question.

"Do you love my daughter?" He asked, standing up.

You two stood up as well. Dan chuckled, closed his eyes, and grabbed your hand.

"Yes, sir. She means everything to me. I can only hope to have a daughter this beautiful, but with her help, it shouldn't be a problem."

Your dad walked up to him with a serious face.

"Welcome to the family, Dan."

Phil

Phil was even more nervous to meet your parents than you were! He really wanted them to like him. That's why he invited them to a resturaunt, to show he had sophistication.

"Phil, you flew all the way out here to the US!" You assured him. "Don't spend so much money on this!"

"Y/N, I need to do this. You mean too much to me."

You sighed, deciding he was right. You kissed his cheek. "Okay. I trust you."

Phil smiled. "Good. Now, we leave in an hour, so why don't you go get ready?"

You nodded and went in the bathroom to change.

When you and Phil arrived at the Rainforest Cafe, your parents weren't there yet.

"We'll wait for them." Phil suggested. You agreed. You admired the atmosphere of the resturaunt. If you've never been to the Rainforest Cafe before,  it's a really childish place that's basically a resturaunt that's rainforest themed with animatronics of animals.

  You waited by the door with Phil, who was even sweating a little bit.

"Phil, it's going to be okay!" You giggled. He was so cute! "I'm sure they'll love you."

Phil fanned himself, gulped and gave you a reluctant nod.

When your parents arrived, Phil was on his best behavior.

"Y/N, are these your parents? They're so young!"

Your mom was flattered, but your dad was unaffected. "Uh huh. Nice to meet you..."

"Phil!"

"Phil." He looked around at the resturaunt. ".....Interesting choice of resturaunt."

You chuckled nervously, and you were about to say something when Phil catched it.

"Yup! Isn't it fun?" He beamed. You groaned. It was going to be a long night.

"The food here is so good!" Your mom gushed. You nodded as you sipped a smoothie. It was good.

"So Mr. And Mrs. Y/L/N, what do you guys like to do here in America?" Phil asked.

"Well, the other day, we went to a museum. History is so fascinating!" Your dad said.

"Oh, that was pretty fun!" Your mom smiled at your dad. "Phil, what do you think of museums?"

"I think they're intresting!" Phil answered happily.

There were a few more minutes of conversation before you four finished dinner.

"Phil, take care of our girl!" Your dad patted him on the back, ecstatic that you were dating him.

You and Phil left the cafe and were happier than ever. You knew you guys had a future ahead of you.
