Kakariko Village was more animated than it usually was. Normally, one would find the Sheikah predominantly, other races tending to stray away from the secluded settlement. However, due to what had recently happened, with the attack and massacre, many of the survivors had found their way to the Sheikah hometown in search of refuge. They had been welcomed in, given rescue and shelter by the Shadow folk, under the guidance of their leader.
Races from all over Hyrule were within the little village, one protected from all sides by peaks and with only two narrow pathways leading in and out. It was an excellent location, easy to defend as well, especially with Lantern Lake right next to it, they had a good source of clean water. Adding to the regional advantage was the skill of the Sheikah who were proficient in stealth and combat, along with the research into the technology wielded by their ancestors. All those granted them an impressive position to defend against the coming peril.
They were mindful of what had happened, a tension lingering in the air between the various refugees. The Gerudo travelling trader told of her people's Fallen King, how he'd come without any mercy and completely decimated all that came before him. The Rito who'd seen it happen from above told of how the monsters were merciless and their leaders ruthless, using strange hand cannons that promptly murdered those who fled in fear. The Zora told of the small child on the shoulders of a giant who shot fire from his eyes at every spot towards which the little darkened being had pointed no matter who or what was there. The Hylian travellers had their own tale... having barely made it out... The man told of the twisted laughter of the Butcher of Realms, how blood rain fell down from the sky and the flames seemed to lick the clouds. The woman told of the demon worse than demons... and the terror that he brought as he was the one who led the charge.
It was alarming to hear and the demand for retaliation against The Mercenary was garish and clear. He had to be stopped at any price and for any price.
Some Sheikah scouts had found the corpses of three of the perpetrators recently within Ash Swamp, namely Alexi, Rodion and Dark Star. Dark Lynx had been sighted fleeing and it appeared that he wouldn't return any time soon. That meant that only The Demon King and the Butcher of Realms remained from those responsible, apart from the demonic mutant. Their downfalls were credited to the Hero of Hyrule, as a few people at the Duelling Peaks Stable had said that they had observed him pass through. Though no one had witnessed the battle, since they steered away from the sounds of strife along with the fact that Ash Swamp and Blatchery Plains were infamous.
For now, the call had been sent out in order to catch The Bearer of The DOOM Slayer and bring him to justice.
