"Hello?" Ray asked through the phone.

"Hi Ray," his sister said.

"Where are you?" he demanded.

"I'm at Alex' house. He's sick and right now he's asleep."

"So? What do you want?" he asked suspiciously.

"I want to take care of him. Can I stay here for the night?"

"No," he answered immediately, "Come home."

"But he's sick!"

"And I don't care."

"Just so you know, Alex saved me from a couple of perverted assholes, so I owe him. And I'm staying," Raysa said firmly.

"You owe him nothing, come home," he said.

"No."

There was a long period of silence that followed that stubborn answer, and Ray knew she would stay strong to her decision, and going against her would only increase her determination. He sighed, "Fine. Live there for the rest of your life. I don't care," he grumbled.

"Thanks Ray. I'll go there early in the morning at 8 to ready myself for school."

"Be here at 7, he said before hanging up.

Alex slept and had the same dream again...

He was twelve years old~

"Today's the last day of school and we have an early dismissal. So do NOT be late in picking me up okay?" Alex said. Helen chuckled, "Yes, yes Alex. I'll be here as early as possible."

"Bye Alex."

"Bye bye."

"I'll miss you man."

Alex said his good bye's and waited by the tree: his special place. After five minutes he got up and paced impatiently, "She's late," he grumbled.

Alex had never been patient, he remembered the days when Helen wasn't assigned to pick him up, he would always end up waiting for hours, and at times he, as a little boy, would just walk home alone once he got tired of waiting. But when he did that, his father got angry and told him never to go home by himself. Helen's job back then had the mansion as first priority. And Alex had always felt miserable to wait, not knowing if someone will even come for him. It was because he met Raysa that he somehow gained some patience. But now she was gone.

Little Alex shook his head, he didn't want to think about Raysa. She hasn't contacted him in two years. To him, she had already deserted him.

It has been two hours already. The sky was getting dark and Alex had given up with waiting, and he was very disappointed with his favorite servant. He waited because it was Helen. And Helen always kept her word.

He never once cried when he felt abandoned and was left alone in that wretched house. He got up, grabbed his backpack and walked home.

When he got home, he called for Helen, but there was no answer. Alex scowled angrily and grumpily went upstairs to take a bath and go to bed. There, he slept numbly.

The phone rang... young Alex lazily got up to answer, it was about thirty minutes after he fell asleep. "Hello?" he said.

"Alex honey," his mom's voice was sad.
