"Well, well, well," said Marcus as he looked curiously at his son who was sitting on his desk and going through his paperwork. "I guess asking you how you came in here is rather unnecessary, I guess."
Alex payed him no attention. He was busy. Very busy. He couldn't stand it here anymore. Sure Robert and his son's guitar was making it bearable but not for long. His patience was running out. Raysa was being singled out and he was here doing nothing at all. He had to do something. He needed to get back. He hated it here.
His eyes read the papers, remembering everything written on it and assessing them within his head as he had always done whenever his father sent him work. It was a very handy ability when he didn't want to study. He had a photographic memory and could solve big numbers in no second at all. Everything always came easy and effortless for him. And that's what made it boring. The only challenge he can ever enjoy is guessing what's on Raysa's mind, which is always such a mystery to him. And right now, he had wanted to come back to her side. Someone had touched her. It made his blood boil with rage and fury, and also there was a strong desire to beat the shit out of the rotten bastards and bitches who dared lay a finger on his girlfriend.
"You shouldn't accept this deal," he said to his father as he dismissed one of the business contracts being offered. "You won't benefit from them. They'll go bankrupt in a few years or so."
Marcus blinked at his son and went to his desk to look at the contract. "What makes you say that?"
Alex didn't even glance at his father. "I remember them from an assignment you gave me three years ago. I didn't know who they were so I did a little research on them."
Marcus stared at his son. "You hacked their systems, didn't you?"
"It was the easiest way to answer you the assignment you gave me," he said with a shrug as he scanned more papers. "This one's no good. He's an ass kisser and a blockhead."
"What?" Marcus said looking at what his son had just read. "Alex you just insulted your uncle."
"Precisely why you should ignore him. I've seen his ways, it's bull."
"You hacked into his computer too?"
"I don't like him."
"You don't like a lot of people," Marcus sighed.
"Look, are you going to listen to my advice or not?" Alex demanded.
Marcus bit back a smile. Just yesterday his boy wouldn't even talk to him because of the abduction and demands to get back home. But now, he's barking orders like he owns the place.
"You kidnapped me to do your company good, remember? So I'm doing my job. Once I've done your shit, I'm leaving," Alex said as he forged his father's signature.
"How do I know you're not trying to ruin my company instead of helping it?" his father asked curiously as he looked at the document his son signed. His signature was a perfect imitation. "When did you learn how to be such a terrifying devil?" he asked his son.
"The moment you and mom decided to teach me an early lesson of independence," Alex replied. "And if you doubt me, then go check on everything that I'm doing."
Marcus smiled ruefully. He created a monster. An amazing monster.
"Alright then, I'll leave you to it." Just as he was turning to leave he heard some banging against left door of his office.
"Alex what's---"
"Nothing," Alex said as he glared at the door.
Marcus stared at his son and decided to open it.
