Raysa sang the last line and opened her eyes. Naomi, Hana, Kayla, and Ryan stood from their seats appluading her wonderul performance. "You were awesome!" Naomi said.

"You're so going to rock that talent show," Kayla said.

"Is that the song that you and Alex were supposed to sing together?" Ryan asked.

"Yeah," Raysa smiled.

Ryan chuckled, "I can't imagine him seeing such a soft, sweet song."

Raysa smiled slyly, "Actually it suits him more than it suits me. He makes it sound sexy and totally romantic."

Hana giggled, "I bet if he sang with you, all his female haters would swoon!"

"They probably would," Raysa said frowning. "Maybe it's a good thing that he's not around to do so."

"Jealous?" Kayla teased.

Raysa shrugged. "A little."

"I miss that bastard," Ryan sighed. "I'm not used to not receiving his early morning glares at school, or his biting sarcasm."

"Yeah, as much as I hate to admit it, I miss him too," Kayla said scowling, "I don't have anyone to vent my anger to. I can't vent on Raysa, she's too sweet and I don't want to die if I hit a nerve. I can't vent on Ryan because I might damage our relationship. Hana and Naomi are just out of the question."

"Why?" asked Hana and Naomi.

"Because you two would cry," she grinned.

"No we won't!"

"Have you guys actually witnessed Kayla and Alex' fights?" Ryan asked.

They shook their heads.

"Then I advise you not to find out."

Raysa laughed and had an idea. "Hey, want me to call him?"

They all nodded in agreement.

She dialed his number and he picked up on the first ring. "Raysa?"

"Hey Alex," Raysa said, her heart already feeling light just from hearing his voice. "So, how are you?"

"I'm dying."

"Of what?"

"Shit," he said in a dead tone. "This place is full of them."

"Oh come on. It's not that bad...right?"

"Do you want to know how many brainless imbeciles I've fired?"

Raysa sighed. "Alex, have a little mercy. Those people have families to support, mouths to feed and  financial responsibilities to attend to."

There was a long pause from the other end. "Fine. I'll check their financial status and family conditions before kicking them out."

Raysa smiled, "Thank you."

"So, what's up?"

"Oh right. I called because we all miss you."

"We?"

"Ryan and the others," she said and put the phone in loud speak.

"Hey Alex!" Ryan said, "How are you!?"

"I feel like shit Ryan."

"Why?" Ryan asked. "Is it because you haven't seen Raysa?"

"Yes, and because for once, I'm with an idiot who thinks highly of himself."

"Are you talking about Darwin?" asked Raysa.

"Yes."

"Is he there right now?"
