"Um... I know it'd be a lie if I said that I didn't see anything..." said Alex as he forced himself to look her in the eye. He really didn't know what to say in this kind of situation...

Raysa nodded uncomfortably, "Yeah... A big lie it would be."

"Because I definitely saw somethings..." he continued.

Raysa glared at him, "Let's just forget about that okay?"

This time his brows furrowed, "That would be very difficult to do."

Raysa blushed and threw a pillow at him, and he blocked it with his hand. "Alright, I won't speak of it anymore... But I can't promise that I'll ever forget it."

Raysa groaned and curled into a ball on the sofa, "That really shouldn't have happened!"

"But it did," he reminded her.

"Shut up. You said you won't speak of it!" So he did shut up. He looked down at his guitar as the silence between them grew. He ran his fingers through the strings then plucked them one by one.

Raysa thought of how ridiculous she was being. She peeked at him from the pillow she buried her face in, "So do you have an idea about the song we should play for the talent show?"

He shook his head, "Can we quit?"

"No. You promised me."

"Damn," he muttered.

Raysa sat up properly then slumped back more comfortably as she thought of songs they could play. She knew Alex could learn any song faster than she can memorize the lyrics, so she was starting to feel some pressure about performing and then screwing up. She didn't want that and she needed to prepare a song so that she could  start practicing.

Alex looked at her troubled face, watching her brows start to furrow and her lips form a frown. He looked at her eyes that gleamed with slight concern and her hair that was still half wet. Then he noticed her ears and it reminded him something. He got up and to answer her unspoken question he said, "Wait here."

She watched him go backup the stairs and disappear. She wondered and so she followed. She quietly crept up the stairs and stuck to the walls as she saw him enter his room. She followed silently and peeked through the slightly opened door. She saw him bend down and open a drawer beside his bed. She couldn't see what he took from inside it since his back was facing her. She stuck her head in to get a better look, but it did no good so she leaned in more until she lost her balance and fell down on the floor.

Alex whirled around in surprise and saw her smiling at him guiltily as she started to get up. He gave a sigh and motioned his hand for her to come. She walked to him with a face full of curiosity. Alex put the tiny box in his pocket to hide in from her view.

"Why'd you hide it in your pocket?" she pouted. "What is it anyway?"

"Guess," he said.

"Umm... I really don't know, uh... candy?"

He chuckled, "Why would you think I'd hide candy?"

"I don't know! Is it related to music?"

"Umm, yeah I guess."

"A guitar keychain?"

"I don't have any of those," he said.

"Really? I'll buy you one when I see one."

"Next guess."

"Umm..." she looked at his pocket and considered what things could be related to music and is small enough to fit in there. "A tiny recorder?"
