"Alex, stop squirming," Raysa said as she treated the wound near his left eye.

"Be more gentle," he mumbled.

They sat at the table, their food and drinks untouched. The police had broken the fight and the group of guys had left with a couple of broken bones, bruises, and rearranged faces.

Luckily, Raysa brought a mini first aid kit that Ray used to always make her carry. She was concentrating on treating Alex gentler.

Alex' quietly watched her face as she treated him. Staring intently at her until she felt self conscious enough to meet his eyes. He said nothing and silence filled them. Alex watched as her cheeks became flushed and she bit her lip as she thought of something to say. But what she did surprised him more than what she said.

She gave him a light kiss on the lips and then told him oh so very sweetly, "Thank you," before continuing with his cheek.

At first he couldn't understand why she was thanking him, because before, when he defended someone in a fight, no one expressed their gratitude (except for Ryan of course). A slow lazy smile spread on his lips and he waited until she met his warm blue eyes, "Don't mention it."

After Raysa was done, they started with their food. Raysa handed him a big slice of pizza before taking one for herself.

"How did you learn how to fight like that?" Raysa asked with a mouth full of food. She was really amazed at how he beat up five guys.

"I took some karate lessons when I was thirteen. But fights started following me around after Helen died," he said as he took a bite and suppressed a smile at his girlfriend's face that was smudged with cheese.

"Why do people pick a fight with you?"

"Because, some think I'm arrogant, some get angry at my blunt comments, and some just don't like me when I became all aloof and cold," he said after he swallowed.

"Well... I still like you," she said with a frown. She felt annoyed at those jerks picking a fight with him.

"Yeah, I know," he told her.

"So," Alex said as Raysa sipped her coke, "Where do we go next?"

"Hmmm... I don't know. Let's just look around for a while and if we see a cool ride, then we go there," she answered.

After they ate, they went right and walked. Raysa noticed some girls checking her boyfriend out and she suddenly had an idea. She stopped walking and told Alex to lean by the pole and look cool while using his phone.

"Why are you making me do this?" he asked with suspicious narrowed eyes. He had a feeling he didn't like where this was going.

"I wanna see if girls will suddenly flirt with you if they noticed you're alone," she giggled.

"What?" he asked lazily.

"Just stand there and look cool," she said as she pushed him playfully.

Alex sighed, he felt like an idiot leaning on the pole doing nothing, so he decided to take out his phone as Raysa had said and just wait for thigs to be done with.

After a minute, to Raysa's fascination and to ALex' irritation, a four girls fakely passed by him and then flirted.

"Hey, you alone?" one girl fluttered her eyelashes at him. Alex suppressed the urge to make a face. So instead, he just glanced at the girl and raised a brow, "What of it?"

"Wanna come with me and my friends and have some fun?" she said with an inviting smile.

"What kind of fun?" Alex asked with a lazy smile that made all four girls blush.
