Raysa stood next to him, looking as angelic as always. Her light blonde hair swayed gently from the winds playful assault, her bright blue eyes sparkled as a heart-warming smile appeared upon her inviting lips. His heart skipped a beat and he felt himself give her an answering smile, one that caused her to blush adorably under his steady gaze. He felt her soft delicate hand wrap around his and he loved the peace and thrill she caused his heart. As he grinned at this beautiful angel and started lowering his lips to hers, wanting to taste heaven, everything shifted and she was gone.

Letting out an irritated breath, he stared at his hand, remembering how it felt and looked when Raysa’s hand was there. He looked around and found himself inside his own kitchen. What’s more is that Helen was there, wearing a pink apron and cooking them dinner.  Them? Alex wondered. He looked around. No one else was there.

“Dinner is almost ready young master,” smiled Helen. Her face as lovely as the last time he saw her.

Alex was separated from the young boy whose blonde hair bounced as he ran and told her, “I’ll go call Raysa then.”

Alex followed his younger, happier self and saw him suddenly stop. He covered his mouth to stop himself from calling out to his best friend. Sixteen-year-old Alex approached the boy and curiously peeked at what had made his younger self stop. And he found the reason quite acceptable.

Raysa lay on his bed curled up and snoring softly. Her breathing even, her face adorably at peace, and her long light blonde hair spread widely over the pillow. The two boys walked carefully (even grown up Alex who had forgotten that it wasn’t necessary). Together they found her holding his ipod in her cute tiny hand, the earphones still shoved into her ears. Tiny Alex and adult Alex discovered that she had been listening to their song, and it was Alex’ version, meaning his voice was doing all the singing.

Little Alex blushed and frowned in embarrassment before carefully removing the earphones and taking the ipod away from her soft little hands.

Alex watched himself stare at young Raysa.

There was a comforting warmth from just knowing that ever since they were kids, she had always kept him in her heart, kept him in her heart dearly. He had always felt a sense of welcoming peace whenever she looked at him, whenever she smiled, laughed, and hugged him. But his favorite was when she kissed him which was very rare. It was always he who initiated the kiss. The last one she initiated was when they were kids.

Just as Alex was lost in his thoughts, he and his little self jumped when a cute little giggle came from the sleeping princess that lay smiling in her dreams. Alex watched himself smile. He had estimated that his age at this time was nine years old, this was a memory after their first kiss.

He watched the young boy stare at the girl with obvious affection. But what surprised him was when he leaned in, hesitated, then shyly pressed his lips against the Raysa’s. It was a quick kiss. And one that, right after he moved away, caused the girl to wake.

“Alex?” she said sleepily, rubbing one eye and trying to make out images from the other. “What time is it?” she asked.

Little Alex breathed in relief and then –

Wham

Alex fell off the bed.

Rubbing his hurting head, he sat up groggily then changed his mind and flopped back down on the floor. His thoughts returned to the long forgotten memory.

“Young mast –“ said Angela who stopped short as she found Alex Raven lying on the floor smiling. The smile immediately vanished in a second and was replaced by an unreadable expression when his eyes rested on her. “What?” he asked tonelessly, not minding or caring to get up.
