Everyone left at 8:30 just as they promised. Alex was glad to have them leave (except for Raysa of course). But he wanted to deny that he enjoyed their visit... and he couldn't help feeling a bit happy when they all said they'd visit again tomorrow.
He went back to his room and laid down on the bed. He couldn't keep his mind from wandering to their kiss earlier. A slow lazy smile formed in his lips. This time she was kissed. The last time they kissed, it was Raysa who initiated it... he finally got back at her for it.
Alex stared at his bedside drawer. He pulled it open and took out the tiny box from inside...
The next day, Alex walked to school with Raysa, neither of them speaking of what took place in the game between them. When they got to school, a large group of girls were crowding in the room.
"What's going on?" Alex asked. Raysa shook her head. She also didn't know what was all the commotion about.
Alex got impatient and pulled the nearest girl from the crowd. The girl looked like she was ready to snap at the one who suddenly pulled her, but when she saw Alex, all she could say was a dreamy,"Hi."
"What's going on?" Alex asked. The girl blushed, "K-Kayla's selling your pictures..." she squeaked.
Alex' blood boiled, "I'm gonna kill you Kayla," he muttered. He snatched a photo that was already in another girl's hand. The girl couldn't even defend herself. Alex stared at the photo angrily. It was a picture of him shirtless and drinking chocolate milk straight from the carton. He tore it up, "Hey! I paid $30 dollars for that!!!"
"$30!!?" he said in disbelief. The girl blushed, "It was a special since you were shirtless..."
Alex groaned while Raysa laughed, Alex looked at her like she was a traitor. She shrugged, "What? It's funny." He shoved her lightly and forced his way into the crowd. Women screamed in delight and some shied away in embarrassment. When Alex finally found the damn girl reponsible for all of this, he grabbed her arm and dragged her out of the crowd. "What the hell Kayla!" he growled.
"What?" she said, "Can't you see I'm making a lot of money?"
Alex glared, "Continue your fucking business and I'll make sure you regret it," he said dangerously.Kayla narrowed her eyes at him, "What are you gonna do?"
A dark look dawned across his face, "You really wanna know?" he mused. Kayla shuddered and sighed, "No."
"Good," Alex said and let go of her arm.
"Can't I at least sell the last twenty copies?" she asked hopefully. Alex sighed, "I get fifty percent," he said.
"Deal," she said sadly, hating the fact that she'd lose half the money she'd earn.
Raysa thought that this event was amusing. Alex was truly an idol in this school. Her eyes wandered towards Alex who was now talking to Kayla.
Her mind kept thinking about the kiss they shared yesterday. She didn't know what to assume anymore. She knew her feelings for him were not that of friends. It was more. But she didn't know how to confront Alex about it. She wanted to tell Alex what she felt. She wanted to know his feelings clearly. Does he feel the same way or not? Was the kiss they shared special to him or not?
Raysa had always been a bit dense and naive. So all she knew was her own feelings and not Alex' obvious ones.
Everyone who saw the way Alex looked at Raysa knew that he loved her. His eyes would always warm up and his expression would soften. Although Alex didn't know that their friends had known their feelings for each other since the beginning, they always wondered when these two would just start dating already.
