Untold truths

I recently saw a book where the author disclosed initial ideas for the book that ended up never happening so I thought I'd do the same for this.

Unfortunately I cannot remember the author to credit them but if I find them again I'll pop their user in.

So, without waiting any longer, here are some things that were supposed to happen but didn't.

1. Zac was not supposed to be in the book past the training camp but I fell in love with him and brought him back.

2. Following the first point - zac was not going to be Dante's mate. Dante was originally not going to find a mate within the series. I started seeing comments on how they were both fan favourites and you all wished to see them together.

3. Xander and Aries were supposed to get a happy ever after at the end of this book with Aries relocating his pack to the royal grounds but it felt too strange to suddenly have a closed off royal area filled with a pack so it never happened.

4. Xander was supposed to go to Scotland to be there for Zac to help face his dad. This was decided after I realised I wanted to keep him in the story but it never happened.

5. Molly was supposed to have a miscarriage from the stress of realising her plans were failing, but it felt too insensitive to those who have suffered with this in real life since a lack of sympathy would be portrayed from the rest of the characters.

6. Bella was supposed to wake up with memory loss after her coma. She was supposed to forget everyone and relearn her life again.

7. Xander was going to be hated by his real father, the king, but it felt like it wouldn't portray the story well enough.

8. Xander was supposed to go back and finish training considering he left early. It felt like he had learned way more after he left and wouldn't have been beneficial if he went back.

9. Aries was going to step down as alpha. Before I realised a way around this, which included the second book, I was going to have Aries step down as he had too much going on.

10. Xander was supposed to have a royal sister. Her name would have been Elise. She would have been really nice and supported Xander with his troubles in learning royal life + dealing with the chaos of Aries.

11.Lastly - there was supposed to be no sequel. The previous points, had they been done, would have meant there would have been no 2nd book.

I hope you find these points interesting and hopefully agree with me in throwing these ideas out and replacing them. I really feel it's created a better plot and development for the characters otherwise.
