The Quiet One

Back again

it was the next day and i woke up at half 8. I got out of bead and went downstairs to see Oskar eating some breakfast. i made myself a bowl of cereal and sat down next to him.

"how did you sleep i asked.

"i slept alright i guess" i said.

he nodded got up put his bowl in the sink and then looked at his phone.

"i got to go see you "he said putting his bag on his back.

"Alright good luck" i said and he left.

i finished my food and went upstairs to get ready. i got showered and dressed in joggers and a shirt since it was warm today. i put the rest of my stuff in my bag and put my bag downstairs next to my suitcase.

i sat down on the couch waiting for to car to come pick me up which would be here in about 20 minutes, i was scrolling through Instagram and there was a car horn that went off. i stood up and put my shoes on and there was a knock at my door. i opened it to see one of the staff.

i grabbed my backpack and suitcase and walked out the house and locked up. i put my stuff in the boot and got in the car. it was about 20-minute drive. we made it to the front of st Georges Park and i got out grabbed my bags and was greeted with the media person.

"You alright Jae" he asked.

"I'm good how are you" i said coming up the stairs.

"I'm good thank you" i said and i nodded.

i walked it to see a bunch of people inside. with some foot balls in their hand.

i got a sharpie and started to sign the football and talk to some of the kids. i then walked to one of the staff who handed me my room key and my schedule. i walked up the stairs and down to my room i opened my room door and saw that i was rooming with Leah, she was fast asleep on her bed with a blanket covering her.

i unpacked my training stuff quietly and sat on my bed, we had training in about two hours so i just played on my phone. it was now half an hour until training and i started to get ready, Leah was still fast asleep, so i decided to wake her up.

"Hey Leah come on we have training soon" i whispered to her and rubbed her arm. she stirred and put the blanket over her head.

"Hey, come on" i said and she groaned. i slowly pulled her blanket of her to see her eyes open.

"morning" i said smiling. she yawned and stretched.

i stood up and continued to get changed.

"We have half an hour to get ready for training" i said and that made her get up to start getting ready.

we walked onto the training pitch to see the rest of the team and the grassroots teams. we stood around as Sarina gave us a brief on what we were doing today, and we started.

today we were focusing on defending so we were playing lots of 9 a side game. i was on a team with lucy, Hannah, jill and lotte.

we were on our third game and i had the ball on a 1v1 with Leah and Megged her and got the goal in the back of the net. i turned around to see everyone laughing and Leah not happy.

i smiled "sorry lee" i said.

"Not happening again" she said and walked off i looked towards the media guy who was filming and made a face.

"She does not look happy" he said laughing.

"She does not" i laughed and carried on.

to end of the training, we had one big game changing up the goalkeepers each goal. we play half an hour of that and then we finished up and went back to our rooms to get showered up. i walked out of the shower to see that Leah was in bed since she already had her shower.

"You feeling alright lee" i asked her knowing that she hadn't been herself since coming back.

"Yeah, just tired haven't been sleeping lately" she said.

"Alright if you need out let me know" i said putting my hair in a low bun.

"Can we watch a movie" she asked and i nodded and i sat on my bed and grabbed the remote to pick a movie. whilst i was picking Leah got out of bed grabbed her blanket and joined me in my bed, i closed the curtains and the lights and turned on one of the harry potter films.

we were about 3/4way through the film and i looked over to Leah to see her fast asleep on my chest, i saw the door open to see Beth walking through the door, as she saw me i instantly put my finger on my lips and pointed at Leah fast asleep on my chest, she smiled and nodded and then sat on Leah's bed.

after the bed i turned the tv off and turned my head to Beth and asked "what you need"

"Just wondering if you wanted to come down and play a game of FIFA with the girls but i see you're a bit busy, is she ok" Beth asked.

"i don't know she says she is just tried i walked in when i came and she was out of it so who knows" i said and put the quilt higher on her.

"Do you think she is coming down with something like a summer flu" she said.

"i don't think so it might be her body responding to the stress of the euros maybe" i said.

"Yeah, maybe it is a big responsibility" she said.

"Anyway, how are you and Viv going you official yet" i asked.

"Not yet think i might ask her before the game" she said and i nodded.

we talked for a bit more before she left to go play some FIFA with the girls, i was left with a sleeping Leah who had moved more onto me. i got my phone out and started to talk to my brother.

after talking to him for a while i ended up falling asleep as well, we slept up until teatime and i was woken up by a knock at the door and it opens, i opened my eyes to see Leah still in the same spot as she was when she fell asleep, and Lucy walked through the door.

"Come on its teatime" she said smiling at Leah.

"We will be done in a minute please don't say anything she has enough going on" i said and she nodded and left.

i looked at Leah not really wanting to wake her up but i knew i had to. "Leah" i said stroking her arm.

"Come on we got to go get some food" i said and she opened her eyes.

"Hey sleepy head how you sleep" i asked.

"Better than i have been" she said, and she sat up.

"How long have i been asleep" she asked.

"Maybe about 4 hours you fell asleep like 20 minutes into the movie" i said and got out of bed. we both put some shoes on and went to go eat.

after we had eaten i went to go play Mario kart with the girls, i had just finished a game with Keira, Ella and hemp smashing then and i noticed Sarina coming in. i looked and she moved her head towards the door making eye contact to me, i stood up and walked out.

"You alright Sarina" i asked.

"Yes, I'm good just wondering about Leah is she okay " she asked.

"As I'm aware she is just a bit tired i think a lot of pressure with being captain but i think she is ok" i said.

"Okay let me know if anything changes, please" she said and i nodded and walked back into the room. i walked over to Leah and whispered into her ear.

"Can we talk" i asked and she looked at me and nodded.

and she stood up, i saw Beth look at me u just nodded at her, and we left.
