Switzerland vs England

it was now Thursday meaning it was both match day and it was also Oskars 16th birthday. the match was at five so we didn't really have much of a rush today, i woke up and instantly got dressed and face timed Oskar as i was walked down to breakfast, we had a good talk and went through everything that he was going to do today and i promised that i would message him after the match.

i walked into the food hall to see that everyone was already here, i grabbed some food and sat down next to lucy and started eating.

"Your here late" she said.

"yeah, slept in a bit and was talking to Oskar" i said.

"oh, it's the big 16 today isn't it" Keira said.

"yes, it is" i said smiling.

"What is he doing today" she asked.

"he's doing things with his friends paintballing, bowling and then cinema i think" i said and they nodded.

we all finished up with food and then got briefed with today and then was all dismissed, we were going to be setting of the stadium at about 12 to get to the stadium so we had quite a lot of time to ourselves before leaving. i took this time to take a walk around where we were staying and get focused. today was the last match before the euros group stages started meaning there was less pressure of winning but then again there is still some pressure to still go on and win.

i was walking until about 11 and then i walked back in my room and got everything ready for the match, Beth was waiting for me on her bed and then once I was ready we walked down together.

"You ready" i asked her.

"Yeh are you" she asked.

"Yeh i am feeling good about this match" i said and we walked onto the coach, as always i sat with Leah and we did a sudoku as we drove to the match. it was only a short drive so we could only do a couple, we finally arrived at the stadium, and we all went to do pitch inspections as a group before we had to do pre-match interviews and get briefed by Sarina.

i walked into the changing room and sat in my box and Sarina started talking.

"so guys i thought i would start of by going over today's line-up so our starting 11 today are Mary, Rachel, Millie, Leah, Alex, Georgia, Keira, Beth mead, Fran, Lauren and Alessia" she said and we clapped.

she then went through positions and the opposition until we started to get ready for warmups, we walked out onto the pitch and grabbed a ball and started to passing the ball between me and lucy before we started our stretching. once we finished our stretching everyone walked back into the changing room for the line-up. the subs made it out and sat in our seats i sat down in the back next to Jill just as the teams walked out. we all sung the national anthem and then it was kick off.

the first half was very back-and-forth chance after chance but there still was no goal, the Swiss were good. we were all sitting in the changing room as Sarina talks about tactics and when we need to work on to land on top. we finished up and we went back out. i sat in the same seat and put a jumper on because i was getting a bit cold.

the second half kick-off and we started off strong with Lauren getting a chance in the 47th minute, but then she got injured moments later. in the 50th minute Alessia scored a banging goal putting us in front.

right after that i was told to go warm up with Ella, Beth E and Chloe saying that we were going to come on. i was walking out of my seat and started to warm up whilst watching the game as well.

"you ready" Beth asked as we were walking back to the bench.

"let's do it" i said and fist bumped her.

we were then subbed on and ran to my spot and we carried on the game.in the next last ten minutes we get a couple of chances in and a yellow for Georgia, we then had a penalty Georgia took it and score putting us up 2-0. we all ran to her and celebrated.

we started again and then we got a corner and Georgia took it and Kelly kicked it in front of the keeper and i belted it into the goal. i ran and celebrated.

"let's go" i said as lucy jumped into my arms.

"Good goal JJ" she said and kissed the top of my head. we then went and started the game again, there was a sub change and Jill came on,

for the rest of the game up until the 90th minute nothing much really happened and we had 4 minutes extra time before full time, we were running down to the siss goal and Kelly kicked across to jill who put it in the back of the net. and we all celebrated and then full time while blew.

we all shook hands with the opposition and then i walked up to wally and hugged her.

"Good game" i said.

"Yeh that was a banging goal nice to see you moving up in the world" she said and i smiled. we talked for a bit but then i had to leave for the team talk.

after that we all made our way back to the changing rooms, i got into an ice bath whilst the girls did their own thing.

"You enjoying that" i heard a voice say and i opened my eyes to see that it was leah stood over the bath.

"oh, I'm loving it, what you need" i said.

"Nothing good goal by the way" she said.

"Thanks lee" i said and she smiled and walked away.

i got out of the bath and went to go shower and got dressed. i got all my stuff together and then i made my way onto the bus as we drove back to the hotel, when we got to the hotel at half 8 and then got some food and then we all slowly made our way up to the rooms tired from the game. i got into my room and Beth was on the phone most likely talking to Viv i went into the bathroom and got changed, whilst getting changed there was a knock at the door but ignored it knowing Beth would get the door.

i walked out of the bathroom in just a clean sports bra and sleep shorts and saw Leah was sat on my bed with the quilt on top of her.

"What you are doing here" i asked her putting my dirty clothes in a bag next to my bed.

"Can i stay with you" she asked and i nodded.

"Who are you rooming with" i asked.

"Georgia" she said.

"Does she know where you are" i asked.

"i told her i was going to watch a movie with you and Beth and she believed me" she said and shrugged her shoulders.

"Alright fair enough" i said and looked at Beth who was finished her call but know texting someone.

"how's Viv doing" i asked.

"she's good" Beth smiled. i got into bed and i turned the tv on as Leah put her head on my chest.

"You tired" i asked her and she nodded.

"Go to sleep" i said and she closed her eyes and relaxed. for the next half an hour both me and Beth watched a movie and Leah was in and out of sleep.

after the movie finished i turned the tv off and both me and Beth turned the lights off and went to bed. i looked down to Leah to see her minutes away from falling asleep so i didn't move in case of waking her, i laid there and then fell asleep myself.
