we were in training and the FIFAs best nominees were being released this afternoon and there was rumour that will be within the players but who knows. I was partnered with mapi doing shooting drills and I was able to trick pat her and get a goal and she was not too happy about it.
"Girls go have a water break" the coach said, and I walked over, and Keira throw a bottle at me. I sat down on the bench and drank my water watching everyone else talk. my jacket was next to me, and I grabbed my phone and saw my grandparent sent a picture of Eli at the park.
I smiled looking at the photo and I saw the nominees had come out. "Hey girls the nominees have been announced" I shouted getting everyone's attention.
"Come on Jae read them out" Mapi said excited.
"I'll just go through them all" I said.
"So, women's player nominees are Alexia, Beth mead, Sam Kerr, Aitana Bonmati, Debinha, Alex Popp, Leah Williamson, ada hegerberg, Wendie Renard, Lena Oberdorf, Vivianne Miedema, Keira Walsh, Jessie Fleming and Jae black" I said not believing what I am seeing.
I then went through the goalkeepers' coaches and all the other categories for the rewards both men and women.
"and lastly the nominees for the women world 11 are Christiane Endler, Mary Earps, Sandra Panos, Ellie Carpenter, Ashley Lawrence, Irene Paredes, Lucy Bronze, Mapi Leon, Wendie Renard, Leah Williamson, Leah Oberdorf, Alexia Putellas, Keira Walsh, Aitana Bonmati, Caroline Graham Hansen, Amandine Henry, Kelley O'Hara, Sam Kerr Beth Mead, Jae Black, Ada herberg, Viviane Miedema and Ellen White" I said.
we all congratulated each other, and I texted Leah just before having to go back to training.
*27th February*
it was the day of the awards and me and some of the Barca girls were sat on the plan on our way to Paris where its being held. I was sat down watching as Lucy was trying to teach Alexia French and let us just say it was interesting to watch her try and speak anything but Spanish, it is even sometimes a shock to hear Alexia speak English.
it was only a couple of hours that we were on the plane before we were at the hotel each in our individual rooms getting ready for the ceremony. I had picked out my outfit, but I had not seen it in person so wishing that it looked like how imagined in my head. the outfit was hung up in the door in a suit bag, I opened the zipper and was incredibly pleased with the results.

I took my time gettinginto my suit and doing my hair, I was not doing much but then more than Inormally would on a day-to-day thing.
I was doing my hair when I heard a knock on my door. I put my curlers down and opened the door to see all the girls dolled up and ready to go. they walked into my room, and I went back to doing my hair knowing that we only had 20 minutes before we had to be in the cars and off to the ceremony.
I got my hair done an d we were out of the door and into the cars just in time, we were on our way to the venue and I was texting my grandparents, and Eli was not wanting to sleep instead he was laid on the couch with his blanket and dummy in his mouth.
