there's never too many trophies

the last week has just been nonstop with training for the finalism and Eli and handling his constant chaos and trying to find some time to myself it was a lot, the match was this evening and we were relaxing and doing our own thing, I was laid in bed trying to have a nap with Eli before we set of to the stadium, Leah was with Keira in her room doing their own thing. I laid staring at the ceiling daydreaming about everything and anything.

I looked towards Elijah, and I remembered it was the world cup in about 3 months, trying to plan for such a long flight with a would be 1 year old is going to be hard finding little tips and tricks for making it easier on both him and everyone else.

as I looked at Eli again, I noticed he was awake staring and me his dummy bobbing in his mouth.

"hey baby you have a good sleep" he said and I rubbed his back and he continued to stare at me, I looked at my phone and realised we would have to get up soon, I left him to wake up slowly whilst I got both our bags together and get some clothes for him since he got very dirty at lunch.

whilst I was doing everything Leah creeped in the room without waking an already awake Eli.

"He still asleep" she asked.

"Now, he is just chilling on the bed" I said zipping up his bag.

"Okay how was your nap" she asked us both as Eli sat up reaching for Leah.

"I think I got about 10 minutes, but he had a solid 2 hours" I said zipping up Elis day bag and starting on the suitcases.

I watched as Eli was laid in Leahs arms as she grabbed stuff from cupboards and the bathroom and putting them on the bed.

"He feels a bit warm" Leah said taking Elis shirt off.

"it's probably from his nap, Eli you want some milk buddy" I asked him, and he turned around and nodded. I took some out from the mini fridge and put some in his bottle.

I went pack to packing and Leah was changing his nappy and getting him into clean clothes.

after a while everything was ready and the whole team was sat in the lobby of the hotel, I was sat with Lucy talking about the upcoming weeks and planning things to do before for the break, as we were talking I was watching Eli sat with his blanket and his favourite toy which was a blue car that lite up and moved when pulling back.

I continued to check his temperature throughout him waking up, but it was not high enough to be signs of him catching a cold, so I gave him as many liquids to keep him hydrated.

it was time to get on the coaches so I grabbed Eli and his blanket and we made our way onto the bus, he was leaning on my chest facing forward quiet as a mouth, you are very quiet Mr, Chloe said as we sat at the table next to her.

I pulled out his dummy to see if he wants to babble but he was not having it and leaned towards it and back in his mouth. Leah, lucy and Alex came and sat at the table and Lucy pulled out a fidget toy for Eli.

"Look what I got you buddy" and passed it to him. he turned around and started to play with this toy a smile on his face. I took his dummy out once again and putting it in my pocket and led him play.

"And look at that" Leah said laughing at the fact how much he has perked up.

once we arrived at the stadium everyone started to get into gear for the watch doing their own thing to prep and get focused. we went on the pitch, got briefed on the match and what was happening, and we were getting dressed for warmups. I was in the lineup for this match, so Eli was happily playing with one of the physios while we walked out and onto the pitch.

during the match it was very competitive and very back and forth we had gotten a strong rhythm and I was able to score on a free kick into the top right of the goal and Brazil was able to clip on in Aswell, we had gotten into extra time and it was looking like we were going straight to pens. subs were made having our best penalty takers on the pitch for an extra precaution. and I was right full time was one all and it was time for penalties.

our takers where able to get four in whilst Brazil only got two in making us the winners. we all came running to Chloe and Mary who had played amazing.

we celebrated and Eli was awake and celebrating with the girls, he had my medal around his neck as he was playing with Lucy on the grass, I was talking to Keira joking about and Leah came running over and jumped into my arms,

"Where is our boy" she asked going back to the floor.

"He is partying it up with Lucy" I said pointing.

"Oh, she is one of his favourites" Leah said.

"Without a doubt" I said.

"I'm going to steal him for a photo" she said running to him and lifting him up and into her arms and then she ran back and grabbed me. we got one of the media team and got a photo with Eli sat on the trophy with me and Leah stood behind leaning over.
