ADRIAN'S POINT OF VIEW :

"Boss, Henry is here." One of my man tells me, and I motion for him to fuck off with my hands, and he scurries away immediately.

Lorenzo sits infront of me, and Rocco sits beside him, looking relaxed.

Rocco is my right hand man, he has been in the mafia way longer than me, he was my father's right hand man too.

When father died, and the argument raised over, "who'll become the mafia boss now?" Rocco was one of those people to do everything to keep me on the throne.

I was deemed unworthy, weak and not qualified to be the Don. I was so young, and unprepared.

But he was by my side all the time, so was my brothers.

"Adrian, per quanto riguarda il pacchetto?" Rocco asks me, while twisting a champagne glass in his hands.

"what about the package" - translation

"Non mi interessa un cazzo del pacchetto, Lorenzo will handle it," I grit out, way too done with every single thing in the world.

'I don't fucking care about the package'

"Hello? I'm sitting right infront of you. Don't talk like I'm not here, Goddamnit!" Lorenzo uselessly exclaim but I pay him no mind.

I leave my office loving them two behind, as Kaison comes to me with a grim expression.

"Now what?" I bark out, and he doesn't even flinch from my tone.

"You can't keep her here against her will, Adrian! Are you guys out of your mind?" He shouts.

I don't answer him, because I have nothing to say. Nothing to justify our action. I'd give up my own life if I have to lose my baby sister again.

And she cannot leave. You cannot live Cosa Nostra alive, never. Neither can she, she was born into this. She is bound to the mafia by blood. And this is one of the reasons, we should not have kept her in the dark.

Levi walks up to us and Kaison shoves a finger in his direction.

"You captivated our own sister! This is vile and so low, even for you guys."

"Shut the fuck up, Kai! We haven't captivated her. My actions had valid reasons!" Levi pauses, his face turns red as he shoves Kai on the shoulder.

I ignore the both of them, as I quietly make my way to Kate's room, the room is way too bright, way to colorful. And just the way her old room was.

My baby sister lies on the bed, motionlessly. Her leg is tucked on Massimo's lap as Artemis sits on the other side of the bed with a huge scowl on his face.

He spots me and his face scrunches up, but he refrains from saying anything.

"I- I think she's waking up," Massimo whispers, and my heart skips a bit.

I study her from a distance, as she slightly starts to move.

She has been out for more than six hours, after Levi injected her with sedates. And I cannot help feeling way too ashamed about what how I supported his action.

But I have to, I had to. They know it, but they don't understand it.

Kate's eyes flutter open, and she scrunches her eyebrows together, as she tries to fix to the brightness.

I quietly make my way over to her, and crouch down beside her. She flinches when she notices me and Massimo.

"I- I am so sorry," I grit out. Her eyes snap to mine and my heart becomes heavy as I take in her stoic expression. She looks so much like our mother now, so much that it hurts.
