Chapter 9 : Refugee

Catras POV:

After I get my emotions under control I start telling DT everything that had happened at my place and what my past with Adora was like (though not in detail), despite a big part of myself saying I shouldn't trust them. I knew that that was true but a bigger part needed to vent. After i finish telling my Tale they get up, pour us another glass of what i now knew to be champagne and started fiddling with something at the table

"Damn Kitten.....i thought you were kidding but your 'owners' really are scum hmm" DT didn't even hide their shock

"Yeah...i mean i knew they are bad People but this...this is in another Galaxy of fucked up" i say, getting really depressed thinking about them. I knew they didn't care about me but to mean so little that they would basically sell me into something akin to sex slavery....my Mind can't even handle that fact right now

DT hands me something that looks like a Cigarette and I take a deep huff of Smoke into my Lungs, hoping it would calm me down a bit. It made me cough something fierce and taste funny.

"We will sort this out, Kitten. For now just relax a bit. Can't offer you to stay here for ...reasons but i will find something don't worry"

"Thanks DT but please leave Adora out of this...she has enough problems and i don't want to..add..to.."

I must have fallen asleep at some point because the next thing i know, i wake up and see DT talking with someone

"Hey Wildcat"

"Scorpia?" i thought i was dreaming when i see my Friend sitting there like it was completely normal for her to be in DT's Home

"What are you doing here?" i ask, getting up from DT's couch and receiving a Bearhug from the Scorpion Hybrid

"DT called me when I couldn't reach you. They told me what happened ..im so, so sorry for what they done to you"

Finally letting me go, i fall back to the couch "Thanks but it's not all bad...i got out and that's a plus i guess....now i don't know where i can go tho"

"I told you I would..." started DT but the doorbell interrupted them "perfect timing"

As they open the Door, my Ears pick up her Voice instantly

"What happened DT?" says Adora, sounding panicked

"Hello Adora, please come in" i can hear the sneer in DT's voice....yeah they know about my feelings for the blonde and i have no idea how.

Adora and DT walk into the room "Catra, are you okay?" Adora runs over to me the second she sees me but i hold up my Hand

"Im fine...DT i told you not to call her" i say, looking at DT angrily

"What? Why?" Adora says with a hurt look that makes my Heart feel a pang of regret

"Scorpia. Could you give them a minute?"

"Yeah sure" she answers and gets up to leave the room with DT

"Kitten, you need to be more upfront when you need help and accept it before you one day turn around and see no more Hands reach out to offer it" DT says as they close the Door to the Room

I press my Lips to a thin Line wile Adora sits on the couch

"You really don't want me to know? Why?" she sounds like she's about to cry

"Because ...you have a lot on your plate already finally dealing with YEARS of Trauma and Pain and.....i don't want to add to that. I don't want to be just another burden in your life" i say, gripping my Arms, barely stopping myself from clawing into them.
