Chapter 14 : Doubt

Adoras POV:

The next 2 weeks were amazing and i couldn't believe how having Catra as my Girlfriend could make every Day so much better. The day after we became a couple (yes even when i say it's only a test i want to treat this as i would a normal relationship), Catra made me Breakfast in Bed and we just talked until it was time to go to School, the Day after we woke up in my Bed, having fallen asleep cuddling and so on and so on.

The most simple thing can make me happy when it's with Catra and i doubt anyone else could make me feel the way she does. When i think about it, she always made me feel this way but I never put it together that I might have feelings for her until now.

Now for what has changed in the time since then:

- We caught up with School work (which was a LOT)

- Catra started her Therapie again, thanks to a quick referral of Angella

- we told Bow, Glimmer, DT, Scorpia and Perfuma that we are now a couple, who all congratulated

- Angella was true to her word. She became Catras Legal guardian but she stayed with Mara and i

- Catras emancipation process was now officially started but could take upwards of a year to be done. Her Parents had so far not done anything but they were on the news a lot

- I started planning for Catras Birthday with Glimmers help

Said Birthday was going to be tomorrow and I invited all of my Friends to Party at our place so Catra could make some new ones, ideally.

I still had no Present and i was currently trying to fix that, by asking Glimmer to the Mall to help me choose something

"How about something like this" Glimmer says and points at a shop for Stuffed Animals

"I think you forgot the 1 in her 16th birthday Glim" i deadpan at her

"okay how about we go for a celebration of your recent Relationship change" she says with a smirk, pointing at a dessous shop, setting my Face on Fire

"okay if you are not taking this seriously, i can do this alone you know" i say, playfully punching Glimmers shoulder

"Fine ....you are so hard to please Adora"

"i just want to find something that tells her how much she means to me...but not too romantic. We are still trying things out and i don't want to give her false ho...." we were walking and talking when i suddenly saw it.

In a small store with all kinds of nick nacks i see something sparkling that grabs my interest. A Necklace in form of a four Leaf Clover that, once unlocked shows a tiny picture frame and the engraving "Lucky to have you in my Life"

I hold it in my hands and am torn "I thought nothing romantic?" says Glimmer and i know she's right.

"I know....but i really like it and i know Catra would love it" i check the price and see it at 29,99 which is far too good to pass it up. I take it to the register and pay for it. Returning to Glimmer who gives me a questioning look "I know ..but hear me out" i say and explain

"I get her something smaller and keep this for when the month is up. That way i can to both"

"So you already decided? Then why torture her with the ultimatum?"

"I...i don't want to hurt her Glim...i don't want to say 'i love you' and 6 weeks later i realize i can only see her as a Friend"

"But you do love her?"

"I...think i do but i still doubt myself. I never had feelings for anyone and now with me coming out....i don't want to fuck it up. Catra is special to me and that never changed and never will....i just don't know if thats love" i say, as we sit on a nearby bench
