Chapter 30 : Change

Catras POV:

20 minutes prior

I am on my way home when i start thinking about Sabrinas coming out. The fact that she can finally admit to herself that she is into Women is such a huge step and i feel slightly guilty that i skipped it "can't help but feel like i had it easy....well at least that part of my life was easy" i think to myself when i walk outside the classroom.

Crossing the parking lot, i hear the footfalls long before they make themself known to me "Hey Kitten"

"Hey DT, whats up?" is say, without turning towards them

"I wanted to ask if you remember that we are starting rehearsals soon"

"Sadly, yes...why?"

"Just ...concerned that you try to run away from something I'm forcing you to do?"

"You...urghh yes i hate the idea of being on stage, but i owe you that much at least....i'm not running anymore"

DT stops walking beside me "Really? then why have you not reacted to a certain name on the list Lonnie had shown you? Sirer to be exact"

I stop walking and turn around "Of course you know about that.....look Sabrina has nothing to do with the Family Business and is to stupid to be of actual concern. I'm not gonna judge her for the actions of her Father" Sabrina's family had some massive Skeletons in their Basement. For one, her father uses Hybrids of 'low Birth' as slave laborers, frequents places in which we are used as sex Slaves and has at least 4 Children with Hybrids, I doubt his Family knows about. Her mom is not much better, facing backlash for telling a Hybrid worker they are "worth dead as much as alive so watch it scum" all while unknowingly being filmed. We all have secrets and the richer you are, the more disgusting they become it seems. Luckily, the Twins parents were not on the list. "Look, if i could change how this fucking world treats most Hybrids, i would but i can barely look out for myself and i will do anything for Adora ....but thats my limit DT"

They look toward the College and sigh "What....what if i wanted to do exactly that and ask you for help"

"What?" is all i can ask, not following here for a second

"I want to be wealthy and influential enough to change this World for our kin, Kitten"

If anyone else had told me that, i would have treated it like the idiot kid of a friend that says "one day i'm gonna be Pesident" and laughed....but DT makes it not only seem possible, but also very easy with how much influence they already have "That's...great? Im sorry but how am i important enough to help with something so big?"

They smile in a, for once, very natural way "You'll see Catra.....my plans go far beyond something as small as Prime and i will need you and Adoras help one day. I got to run, i'll see you later" DT makes less and less sense the more i know about them

Waving to them one last time, i make my way to our Dorm Room. In the Elevator, I consider DT's words but can't even begin to figure out how i or Adora could play a part in their plans. I am about to remember DT asking Adora if she had "considered their offer" when i reach my floor and hear Sabrina shout "What the fu...ADORA?" and my senses sharpen. I can smell several Men at the end of the Hallway who should not be there "SABRINA MILENA SIRER" i hear a Man shout and my instinct takes over. I gotten used to carry a .22 Gun on me at all time, taped between my Shoulder blades, just in case Prime would find me and right now seems like the first time to use it.

I walk slowly up to our Room, sure of the fact that i can do so without being noticed. Inside the open door i see Sabrina and the twins being harrassed by some guy, another stands beside the guy I assume to be Gérard Sirer and then my eyes fall on Adora on the ground. It takes every bit of restraint not to just walk in there and kill the fucker "Time to see if i really have the acting talent they all claim i do" i think as i walk in.
