Chapter 17 : Date

AdorasPOV:

"Hello?"

"Still haven't figured it out?" a Female sounding Voice was on the other line

"what? who..." i was confused for a second

"Funny, i figured you'd be looking all over for me by now"

"I take it you spread the Pictures hmm?"

"Indeed Adora" the Voice sounds vaguely Familiar but i can't put my finger on it

"Why? what have we done to you?"

"Remember who you left in your past"

"our....past? Hello? Hey?...FUCK"

"Who was that?" Catra asks, sounding worried and i can't blame her

"It's not over apparently" i say, frustrated that i can't figure out whos voice that is

I tell the others what just happened, Glimmer seething with anger by the end of it "Who would do this to you? Who have you left in your past?"

"I can't think of anyone" Catra says, clearly in deep thought. I can think of a few people we 'left' in Sharon's place but none we were that close with. The closest we were with were Lonnie, Rogelio and Kyle, the latter of the 3 both got adopted shortly after Catra. Lonnie on the other hand would fit since she was still there when i was adopted. I try to remember the last day i seen her

Flashback

I was packing my stuff, happy and yet somewhat scared of the Woman i just talked to who wanted to get to know me better. Lonnie is sitting on my Bed watching me "So now i'm gonna be alone in this shithole"

"Im sorry Lonnie....but its not like any of us have a choice" i say, sitting beside her

"pff i'm just kidding....just miss the others you know. Do you still miss Catra?"

"Yeah....it's just not the same without her.....everything feels idk...empty?" i say with a shrug

"Maybe you can see her when you outside?" Lonnie says, clearly doubtful but trying to cheer me up

"Yeah...maybe" I answered, not believing her.

"ADORA MOVE" Sharon shouts from downstairs, where she was with the Woman how wants to adopt me. I Hug Lonnie who had Tears in her Eyes "I'm gonna miss you Lonnie"

"hmm me too Adora" Lonnie sounds desperate and afraid all of a sudden but let's go after a short while

I grab my Bag with what little i have and leave her in the Room we shared for years

Flashback end

When we exit Razz's Diner, Catra and I say goodbye to Bow and Glimmer and get in my Car "Are you thinking the same as me?" i ask and Catra nods

"Lonnie....can't imagine anyone else....but why?"

"Maybe because we got out? In her Eyes, we left her in Hell and especially you getting adopted by one of the richest Families...well for now at least. On the outside it seems unfair, doesn't it?"

"Why? she knows we had no choice in this right? For now, we can't be sure but.....i would hate that. Lonnie and i had our problems, sure but i never hated her" Catra says with her Arms around herself

We drove home, both in deep thought, hoping that our guess was wrong. I had not heard anything from Lonnie since the Day, Mara got me out of the Orphanage but then again i never thought of looking into what happened to her either and now i do feel slightly guilty about it.
