Chapter 11: The missing teenagers

I wake the next morning after the party with everything on my bed from last night, including the blood bag. Shit, i mentally cursed at myself because my sister or my dad could've seen it and I would've been in deep shit.

I finally get myself out of bed and dress myself for the day, throwing on some ripped blue jeans, a black tank top and a leather jacket, with some converse high-tops to throw it all together.

I grab my backpack and exit my room. I go to my Allison's room to see she's already gone to school, yet I hear clattering in the kitchen. I walk to the kitchen to see my dad making breakfast.

"Good morning dad."

"Good morning baby. How did you sleep?"

"Slept fine. I was doing some school work last night. Passed out doing it."

"Hmm, well I'm making some waffles if you're hungry."

"Yeah of course. I'm starving."

We sit down and start eating. "So Cass, how is school going for you? Have you made any new friends?" my dad asked.

"School is going really well, and I love all the classes I'm in so far. And I have made new friends. Stiles, Scott and Lydia to name a few."

"Scott? Why Scott?"

"I don't know. He was the first person I met actually. Why do you have a problem with him?"

"No, I don't. How does Allison feel about it?"

"Why would Allie care about Scott and I being friends?"

"Because Allie and Scott use to date."

"Oh, that's Scott. Shit."

"Languaage."

"Sorry." I finish my plate of food and wash my plate and put it in the dishwasher. "I'm going to be late for school, dad. I love you." I go over to him and kiss his head and give him a tiny side hug. "Thank you for breakfast, it was delicious." I leave the kitchen and grab my bag and head to my car.

I get outside when I hear something behind me. I know who it was. I used my vampire speed to grab the culprit and hid behind the apartment complex, away from prying eyes. I look to see who was in front of me and it was Jason.

"What the hell do you want from me!" I whisper yell so no one else would hear me.

"I'm looking after you. Ok? I'm just doing what Klaus wants me to."

"Why the hell is Klaus so infatuated with me? And why doesn't he come and protect me himself, why does he have to send his minions to do it?"
"I don't know. He's busy with Stefan. Besides, I have one more chance with you. I don't want to die, again."

"What do you mean, one more chance."

"Klaus found out about the classroom and the birds, he got angry with me because I wasn't there to shield you from the birds. He gave me one more chance, if you get hurt under my watch and Klaus finds out, he'll send someone to kill me and take my place as your protector. Please, Cassie. I don't want to die for real. I have a family."
