Teen wolf
It was the next morning from the awful night that I had, I gathered my things and headed to the bus. Where everyone was already on.
"Finally, you make it sleeping beauty." Coach says.
"Sorry Coach." I mutter and take a seat next to Jay.
We finally make it back to the school after hours of pure torture in the bus. I was about to call my dad to come and pick me up when Scott offered to take me home.
We were driving in silence, comfortable silence. Neither one of us talking to the other.
Scott was almost to my apartment complex when he pulled into an empty parking lot, pulled into a parking spot, and stopped the car, which he was borrowing from his mother.
"Cassie, I have to tell you something," Scott said, turning to me. I turn to face him as well as take my seat belt off. "What is it?" I asked.
"Cassie, I'm going to just deadpan it. I'm a werewolf. I know you might not believe me but I-"
"Scott, I believe you. Trust me, I believe you. After everything last night, I kind put the pieces together." I said, cutting him off.
"Right last night, why do you believe me? And how did you put the pieces together?"
I pondered on telling him the truth, I trust him. Besides, it'll be nice to finally tell someone. "Scott, I'm not exactly human myself."
"What do you mean? Are you a werewolf as well?"
"Not exactly. I'm a vampire." I said. My eyes turned dark black and red, and veins ran under my eyes. My face returns to normal.
"Holy shit. You're a vampire!!" Scott yelled. "How does that even happen?"
"Well, you have to die with vampire blood in your system."
"Wait, you died?" Scott said, grabbing my hand and rubbing it to soothe me. "How did that happen?"
"I don't want to talk about that. It was really traumatic for me, and I still get panic attacks even thinking about that night."
"Oh, Cass. I'm so sorry." He takes my hand and interlaces are fingers together which instantly soothes me even more.
"It's alright Scott. I'm here and I'm safe." I said. "But I'm also something else. I'm a heretic, a hybrid of two different creatures."
"What else are you?"
"A witch. Look I'm only telling you these things because I trust you, Scott. I know that I am safe with you. That you won't tell unless I say it's ok."
"Especially now that I'm in your life. I won't let anything happen to you Cassie. Not again. I will protect you for my entire life. I promise you."
"Now, why would you do that Scotty?" I said leaning toward him, teasing him because I know the answer[' to that question.
He leans towards me as well and next thing I know his lips are touching mine. I kiss him back instantly and this warm feeling overcomes me. I whine when his lips leave mine, but he backs out and places his hand on my face and looks at me like I was his everything and I swear I felt myself fall for him all over again. "I would protect you with my life because I like you Cassie, so so much. Will you go out on a date with me?"
"Yes, I will go out with you." I said. "But you could also say that you're so protective of me because I'm your mate?"
"Wait, how did you know?"
"You told me last night, when you were delusional." I said.
"I don't remember that, but yes. You are my mate, Cassie."
"God, I'm actually someone's mate. I can't believe that." I said, "Is that why your eyes turn pink sometimes?"
"Yeah, it's me showing affection to my mate." Scott says.
"That's so fucking cool." I say.
We sit talking for another hour, when it was getting late. Scott drives me back to my apartment complex.
"Thank you, Scott for everything tonight."
"Thank you, Cassie. I can't wait for the date."
I smile to him and exit the car, turning around and waving to Scott. I start walking towards my apartment, with a big smile on my face.
