Chapter 40: Captured

Cassie's POV

I felt the light engulf my room. I turn my back to the window hoping that it would be enough to let me go back to bed, but it wasn't. I let out a sigh and start opening my eyes. I sit up in my bed, rubbing the sleep away from my eyes. I look around my room, and then to my nightstand, and look at the clock. It was 10am.

"Hmm, I'm starving." I say, to myself and get off my bed.

I start heading downstairs when I run into Stefan. "Where are you going?" I ask, walking to him. He was in the hallway, heading out the front door.

"Going over to Elenas." He says, and leaves without saying another word to me. I let it go, seeing as I don't care, and start heading towards the basement, where Damon kept the blood bags.

I get to the cooler, opening it, seeing that there was nothing there. We were freshly out of blood bags. Great, I thought.

I get out of the basement and go to my room, grabbing clothes to put on. I picked blue ripped jeans, a black crop top, and a red flannel. I grab some boots and head downstairs. 

I get out the door heading to my car when I was shot in the back, I turn around and was shot more, I couldn't process what was going on. Until the wounds became too much and I died.

I woke up and looked around my surroundings. I was in the back of a van, chained to the floor. I look around some more and see Rebekah and Caroline sitting across from me.

"Look who's finally awake." Rebeka says. 

"Shut it bitch."  I say and start struggling against the chains. 

"You're not going to be able to get out. We've both already tried." Caroline says. 

I look to her annoyed and say against the van. "What are they doing? Where are they taking us?" I ask. 

"I don't know Cassie. No where good though." Caroline says. 

"Looks like Alaric outed us all to the council." Caroline says. Looking between me and Rebekah. 

"The council? What exactly do they think they can do to me?" Rebekah says. 

Just as she says this the van that we are in gets hit and flipped. Rebekah and Caroline were on the van side that was on the ground, so I was there practically hanging. 

"What the hell was that?" I said looking around. The door to the van opens and in comes Tyler. 

"Tyler?" Caroline says with disbelief. As do I, he should be dead right now, Klaus is dead.

"I guess I'm harder to kill then you think." he says, untying Caroline. He then looks up at me who is still dangling. 

"Cassie." he says and goes to m/';.e then suddenly remembers Caroline and starts untying her again. 

"You're alive? How are you alive?" Caroline says, she looks like she was going to cry. 

"No time. Come on. We gotta go." He says, helping her up. Caroline runs out of the van, and Tyler starts to go as well until Rebekah says something. 

"Wait, what about us?" She asks. 

Tyler turns around, "Keep 'em busy little sister." he then turns to me, "Don't worry love, I will be back for you." with that he leaves. 

I look to Rebekah, "Was that Klaus in Tylers body?" I ask, looking shocked. 

"It's impossible, right?" she asks me. 

"In this town, anything is possible." I said. 

We sat there for a while until people finally showed up, they shot the both of us, killing us so they could transport Rebekah and I again.
