I felt myself wake up with a sharp inhale. I look around and see that I'm still in the storage warehouse. I sit up from my laying position, and see Jay lying on the ground. Bleeding out.

I get up from the ground and walk over to Jay. When I get there, his back was facing mine. I grab his shoulders and turn him on his back so I can see him. When I did the first thing I noticed was the lifeless look in his eyes. I look down his body and see his skin is grey and dark.

"No." I said, I start panicking, and grabbed his tee-shirt collar, when I noticed the big hole in his chest. I look around the room, and see a heart lying on the ground. "No, Jay. Please." I say.

I grab onto him again and start shaking him, even though I know that he is never going to wake up.

"It shouldn't have ended like this. Jay, I'm so sorry. I couldn't protect you. It's all my fault." I said, crying.

I look around once more and see another body on the ground. At first I thought it was Damon from the looks of it, but when I started walking towards the body I was wrong.

"Alaric?" I said, I got back down on the ground and turned him to look at me. "No, No! You can't be dead." I said, and started hugging his body close. "Please, wake up. Please." I said. I didn't want to lose him. He may have been trying to kill me and everyone I love, but he was still family, and somewhere deep inside of him, he was still my dad.

I lifted my head from his chest and look at him once more. Then the wheels in my head started turning, "Wait, but if you're dead. Then that means." I didn't even finish the sentence before I was up from the ground searching for my phone. I finally found it on the ground near the spot Alaric killed me at.

I picked it up, and opened the phone. I dialed Damons number instantly.

I waited for 3 rings before he finally answered.

"Damon, where are you?" I ask, sitting back down on the ground leaning against the wall. Staring at the bodies of my dad and best friend.

"I had to go to the hospital. Alaric died when I was fighting him. Elena, she died." Damon says, sadness evident in his voice.

"I'm sorry Damon." I said. Starting to cry again.

"No I'm sorry flower. I shouldn't have just left you like that."

"How did he die?" I ask, staring at Jay.

"Jason, he tried protecting you. Alaric got mad at him and ripped his heart out."

"He died, protecting me?" I said.

"Flower, it's what he wanted."

"I know, but I feel like it's my fault. If I didn't just let Alaric killed me, I could have protected him." I said, I was starting to sob.

"Hey, flower it's going to be ok. Let me finish things up here at the hospital, and I'll come and get you." He says.

"No it's ok. I'll get there on my own." I said, and hang up the phone so he can't protest.

I get up off the ground and walk over to Jay's body, I grab him and drag him over to Alaric's body, I set them next to each other, "Incendia." I said, and the bodies burst into flames.

I watched as their bodies burn, I couldn't tear my eyes away from them. I finally turned around and started walking away, from the two people who meant a lot to me.

I walked down the road from the warehouse, right in the middle of the road, not caring about the cars that would be on the road.

I found a nice spot on the ground and lied down, staring up at the night sky.

I felt numb, like everything in my word had ended. I didn't feel like living on this planet anymore. I was hurting. I sat their lying on the ground, until a car pulled up.

Someone got out of the car and started walking towards me. "Darling, are you ok?" He asks, with a southern accent.

I look up at him, and stood up. "Not really, everything in my life is going wrong. I don't know what to do." I said, looking at the man. He seemed to be in his middle 30's.

"Alright, let me get my phone and we can call the police, they can help you." He said, he turned around to go to his car, but I speeded to be right in front of him, "What the hell." He says, he starts backing away from me.

"No no." I said, looking him directly in the eye. "Don't be scared. I'm not going to hurt you." I said, and he stopped moving.

"You're not going to hurt me." He said.

"That's right. Now stay still, and don't speak. " I said.

He tried speaking but he couldn't, he looked at me with fear in his eyes, on what I was going to do to him. I walked closer to him and took my head in his neck, smelling his blood, running through his veins.

I pull away, and look to him. My fangs growing and my eyes shifting, "I'm hungry and you look delicious." I said, and leaned forward attacking his neck, trying to get as much blood as possible.

He didn't scream the entire time, and didn't move.

As soon as his body felt limp in my arms I felt something in me change. I drop his body on the ground, feeling no remorse for the man I just killed.

I look at his dead body on the ground, feeling nothing for him. That's when I knew.

I turned off my humanity.
