Chapter 35: Last chance

Cassies pov

It was about an hour before Elijah called Kol to let him know they said yes to his plan A and to let me go.

"Well love. This has been fun, but you are free to go." He says coming over to me, and releasing me from my chains. "You look hungry, you want something to eat?" He asks.

"Yes, please." I said. I stand up from the chair but instantly fell into Kols arms. "I'm weak. I need something to eat."

He nods his head and picks me up. He carries me to the house until we got to the living room. He places me gently onto the couch and leaves the room. He comes back moments later with a blonde grl.

"Here you go darling, dinner." He says, and guides the girl to the couch.

"Kol, do you have any blood bags. I haven't feed on humans since the summer." I said.

"Nope, this is all we have. Take it or leave it." He says, and leaves the room.

Truth be told I stopped feeding from humans when I went on a rampage during the summer and killed 54 people. I was reeling from Jennas death and couldn't control myself. I was a ripper just like Stefan. Once I started I couldn't stop.

I get up from the couch, not falling over, because all I could focus on was the beating of her heart and the blood flowing through her veins.

"I'm so sorry." I said, and started feeding from her. Once the first drop went down my throat I wasn't able to stop. I feed and feed until she was dried and even then I didn't stop. The only thing that stopped me was when her head fell completely off her body.

I stared down at the body in front of me. I was covered in her blood. I was terrified from what I had just done.

I didn't stop staring at her, not even when Kol came back into the room.

"Love, are you alright?" He asks, coming closer to me. I didn't move. I couldn't. He places his hand on my chin and guided my head to look at him. "I killed her." Was all I could mutter out.

"It's alright darling. You're going to be ok." He says, and pulls me into a hug.

I never talked to Kol for so long before, but I needed comfort and he was the only one around.

"Now let's get you cleaned up, and get you to Elenas house." He says, grabbing my arm lightly and guiding me to a room.

"This is Rebekahs room, take what you want to wear. I'll meet you back downstairs when you're done." He says, "The bathrooms over there." He says, pointing to a door. He then leaves me alone to my thoughts.

I look around the room, unsure of what to do, before I decided untimely I needed to take a shower. I go to the bathroom to see a luxurious shower and bath.. I started the shower and turned it to warm, then stripped from my cloths. I waited a little longer so the water was nice and warm and then stepped in.

I wish I could stay in here forever, the water feels warm against my skin, but I knew that my family needed me.

I finish up quickly getting all the blood off me and stopped the shower. I stepped out and wrapped a towel around me and started looking through Rebekahs cloths. I finally decided on dark blue skinny jeans, a white tee shirt and a brown leather jacket. I kept my converse on because they were the only thing that didn't have blood on them.

I made my way downstairs to the living room to see Kol was nowhere to be found so I started walking towards the front door, before I was stopped.

"You're really going to leave without saying good bye Cassandra." Kol says from behind me.
