Chapter 33: A vist from a friend

The sun was shining in my room, and blinding me while I was trying to sleep. I turn around away from the light, yet it was still bright and annoying. I groan and sit up in my bed and look at the time. It was 7:30am, which means I have school in 30 minutes.

I grumble and get out of bed, grabbing black ripped skinny jeans, a grey tank top, and a red flannel. I get my outfit on and head to the kitchen to see my dad and Allison sitting down eating already.

"Look who's finally awake." My dad says getting up from his seat and grabbing more coffee.

"Morning." I said, sitting down and feeling drained. I needed to eat. "I'll be right back." I said, getting up from my seat.

"Where are you going?" Ally asks, looking up from her phone.

"I need some blood. I've got some bags in my room. I just need to feed and I'll be right out." I said.

"You can grab it and eat it in here with us." My dad says, sitting back down and grabbing the newspaper he was reading.

"You're not going to be freaked out by it?"

"Of course not sweetie, it's who you are." He says, and goes back to reading.

I go to my room and grab a bag from my stash and go back to the kitchen table. I sit back down In my seat which was diagonal from my dad and across from Allie. I opened the bag and started drinking from it. My eyes started shift. I drank the bag dried and set it down on the table. I look to see they are both looking at me with shock in their eyes.

"Sorry." I get up and throw it away.

"Cass you're alright. Just haven't seen you shift yet, so I was just surprised." My dad says, explaining himself.

I smile to him and grab an apple from the center piece and began eating it. I was still hungry for blood but I didn't want to grab another so I grabbed an apple to at least help the cravings.

We sat in silence for the rest of the meal until Ally and I had to go to school. We decided on driving together to school. I was driving while Ally was in the passenger seat. There was music playing softly in the background.

"Cassie, how did you become a vampire?" Ally ask, out of the blue.

"It's a depressing story Ally." I said, tightening my grip on the wheel.

"Please tell me." She says, looking to me. I look back at her and then back to the road.

"I was at a party the beginning of the school year, last year. I was hanging out, trying to find some friends. I only had 1 beer but I was falling down constantly, I couldn't even walk straight. Turns out my drink was roofied. I was taken to a room, where I was raped by Danny." I said this and her eyes, Looked like they were about to cry. "I got pregnant from it, I didn't tell him. But he found out about it. He beat me up day on my way from school, telling me to get rid of the baby. I didn't, and he killed me. Turns out I had vampire blood in my system." I said. I was starting to tear up from the story and Ally was full on crying.

"How did he kill you?" She asks.

"He stabbed me 20 times in the stomach, drowned me, then slit my throat. He took his time doing it to. I was begging him to just kill me by the end of it."

Ally was full on crying now, "Cassie, I'm so sorry. That shouldn't have happened. You deserve better." She says. I just nod my head and look to the road ahead of me not wanting to think about the terrible moment.

We didn't talk for the rest of time, she must have known that I didn't want to talk about it anymore. She stopped crying but was now sniffling. We reached school and got out of the car together. We went our separate ways, Ally had to go print something in the library and I went to go and find Scott.
