Chapter 18: Rose?

Teen wolf 3x06: Motel California

"Rose." I say. I start stepping toward her when she disappears. I was snapped out of it when Jay decided to say something. 

"Who the hell is Rose."

"No one. Forget it." I say.

I get into the room and lie down on my bed, that I choose.

"I'm going to take a shower." Jay says, heading towards the bathroom. I nod my head to him and then he's gone. 

I was sitting on the bed, drifting off about to sleep, when there was a knock at the door. I get up and answer the door. Seeing Scott at the other side of the door. 

"Hi Scotty, what can I do for you?" 

"You know he can't love you and protect you like I can." He says, in a monotone. He's looking serious, like he's under a spell or something. 

"What are you talking about?" I ask. Stepping outside and closing the door. "Are you talking about Jay? He's nothing to me Scott." 

"Then why are you always with him. You should be with me, by me, always." He says.

"Scott, what is going on with you?" 

"You are mine, Cassie. No one else." He says, he grabs my hands and pins them above my head. 

"Scott what the hell are you doing? What has gotten into you? Why are you acting like this?" I say, struggling against his grip. 

"Because your mine. You're my mate. Not his!"

"Mate, what the fuck Scott." I say. 

He was about to say something else, when something in him snapped. He looks at what he's doing and let's go.

"I'm so sorry, Cassie I had no idea what I was doing." He says. He starts backing away and goes towards his room. I was about to say something when a person catches my eyes. I look and see Rose. She starts walking away, and I start following her. 

"Rose?" I say. I kept following her until we get to the roof of the motel. 

"Cassie." She finally says, she turns around to look at me. "It was your fault. My death it should have been you." 

"I know, Rosie I'm so sorry." 

"You can make it up to me." She looks to the ground, and there is wooden chair, broken into pieces. She picks up the leg from the chair and hands it to me. "Kill yourself, make it even. It's the only way." 

"Rose, I can't." I say, looking at the leg she gave me. 

"Yes, you can, and you will. You don't have a choice." She goes over and steps to the ledge of the motel, I follow her. 

"Rosie." I say. "If this is the only way to make things right." I say. I point to the stake to my heart. "Then I'll do it. For you." I'm starting to cry but it's the only way to make things right. I was about to stab myself when I heard the door to the roof open, and out comes Scott. 

"Cass, what are you doing?" Scott ask. 

"She won't stop, she won't stop until I'm dead." I say, I start stabbing the stake into my heart.

"NO! Cass, don't. You don't have to do anything. Please step down and take that away from you. Please I need you." he says. 

I look back to him, and I can see his eyes shift back to pink.

Then it hits me like a ton of bricks. Wolfs can have mates, Scotts a wolf. That's what he meant. I was meant for him, and he was meant for me. I looked back to where Rose was, and she was gone. 

Scott comes closer to me and takes my hand and gets me down from the ledge and throws the stake in my hand away. 

He hugs me tightly, scared that I was going to leave. 

"God, Cassie. I was so scared. I thought I was going to lose you before I even got you." he says.

"Trust me Scott, you're not going to lose me." 

We get off the roof and he takes me to my room.

"Thank you, Scott. For saving me." 

"Of course. Good night, Cassie. Sleep well. I'll see you in the morning."

He heads off to his room and I head into mine. I get in and see that Jay is sleeping like a baby.

I get changed and get into my bed, as soon as my head hits the pillow I'm out like a light.
