Snow Capped Hearts- A My Hero Academia Fanfiction (Iida x OC)

Party! at Sero's House

A/N: Because I can this chapter is from Iida's POV (and also like super long, I just had too much fun writing it)! Also in this book, Sero will be using they/them pronouns!

"Party, my house, 9pm, tonight. Who's in?"

Those are the first words I see on my phone screen when I get home from Friday night. The Sports Festival is tomorrow afternoon, and Sero has just texted the entire class to invite us to a party, address following the invitation. I see already that they are the height of responsibility. As I'm about ask if this is really wise, responses come pouring in.

The first people to say yes are Kaminari and Ashido. As expected of them. Kirishima and Jiro also confirm their attendance. Soon, almost the entire class, with the exception of Todoroki, Uraraka, Bakugo, and Midoriya, agrees. Jade is the last person to reply and she says she'll be there. Well, if everyone else is showing, I suppose there's no harm in coming as well.

"I will also be there!" I type out quickly. Jade emphasizes my response.

I don't suppose my regular school clothes will cut it for this party. If Jade is showing, I want to look my best. I sigh, running a hand through my hair. Since when did she have this effect on me? Talking to her makes my heart leap into my throat and I feel as though I may vomit, but in a good way. She's just so nice and intelligent, not to mention the fact that I find her to be the height of beauty.

My wardrobe doesn't exactly scream party. I grab a dark blue button up shirt and some khakis. Just my regular casual clothes. Brushing my hair back in my bathroom mirror, I realize that if I add a cardigan to this outfit, maybe it becomes more casual?

I find my light gray cardigan and throw that on. It doesn't look terrible, but I think I need darker pants if I'm going with the cardigan. I switch my khakis out for a pair of slacks. Much better.

It's only around 5:30. There's still so long until the party.

I spend the time before the party laying on my bed, debating about actually going. Sure, I might see Jade, but other than her, I'm not exactly close to anyone that will be in attendance. Besides, Kaminari and Ojiro are going to be there, and she's much closer to them than she is to me. Is it worth going if I might not even get to talk to her?

I shake my head. Of course it's worth going. I have other classmates besides her, and I told myself at the beginning of the year to make an effort to be more social. These are the sacrifices I must make.

Closer to 7:30, I leave to catch a train to Sero's house. They don't appear to live too far from me, so I should arrive right around 8:15. That's an acceptable amount of time to be early, right?

I approach Sero's house right as the clock strikes 8. Guess I was a little faster than anticipated. I knock cautiously. 

"Class Rep!" Sero says as they open the door for me. "I know you said you would, but I wasn't expecting to come!"

"I had nothing else to do tonight." I shrug. "It seems I'm early, do you need help with anything?"

"You can help Cooke. She's grabbing snacks right now."

I nod and leave to find Jade. She's always early to things, of course she'd be here already. I get to talk to her! She's digging around in a cupboard for something when I find her. When she finds it, she shuts the door, coming face to face with me.

"Oh! Tenya!" She jumps, hand flying to her heart. "You scared me!"

"Apologies." I smile at her, though I'm also startled by her appearance. My eyes trace over the silhouette of her outfit.
