Internships (Day 1)

Waking up in the morning is torture. Now that I know what it feels like to sleep in Tenya's arms, how could I want to fall asleep any other way? No matter how many blankets I pile on, nothing compares to the way he felt. It's like he warmed me from the inside out, rather than just the exterior. 

I groan as I roll out of bed to double check that I have everything I need. After I get ready, I run upstairs to grab a quick breakfast before rushing out to meet the rest of my class. 

Seems like, as always, I'm one of the first ones here. I scan the crowd, looking for one face in particular.

"Bitch!" I run up to Denki as soon as I see him, linking our arms together and pulling him aside. "I have news and you're not going to believe it."

Denki perks up. "What is it?"

"Tenya asked me on a date."

"What?!" Denki gasps loudly. I cover his mouth with my hand to keep him from drawing attention to us. "When was this?"

"Saturday night." I can't hide my giddy smile. "I went over to his house to have dinner with his family and I spent the night with him."

"Same bed?"

"Better. Cuddling."

"Seriously?"

"So dead serious right now."

"Did you kiss?" Denki is absolutely eating this up.

"Almost." I can't blame him, if the roles were reversed, I'd be the exact same way.

"Who initiated it?"

"He did."

"Period. Who initiated the cuddling?"

"He did. I was cold and he suggested he warm me up."

"Spooning?"

"No, let me lay the whole night out for you." I explain how the storm knocked the power out and Tenya let me borrow (and keep!) his clothes for the night. How he let me lay on top of him and kept me warm as we slept. How he confessed his feelings for me.

Denki fans his face. "He's got me swooning, holy shit."

"No, literally." I glance over at Tenya, who's talking to Midoriya and Uraraka. He sees me and gives me a sheepish wave. I assume he's telling them about Saturday night, just like I am with Denki.

"I actually have news too ..." Denki says.

"What is it? Tell me everything right now."

"So ... I slid into someone's DMs after the Sports Festival, and I guess now we're kind of talking."

It's my turn to gasp loudly. "You did? Who?"

"Shinso." He looks really nervous to admit it.

"Denki!" I grab his arm. "That's so exciting! Look at us, in our dating eras."

He relaxes once he sees how excited I am for him. "As we should be. I was honestly surprised that he even responded in the first place, but he's actually super nice and I kind of like him."

"If he hurts you, I'll curb stomp him."

"Same with you and Iida."

"Oh!" I remember the candies I was going to give Tenya. "I actually have to talk to Tenya before we leave. But you are going to keep me updated. I want to know how it's going with Shinso."

"Deal!" Denki calls after me as I leave.

"Jade!" Tenya grins when he sees me approaching. "Hello!"

"Hi Jade!" Uraraka chirps.
