The next morning, as I'm putting my stuff in my locker, I'm approached by Denki and Kiri. They bring with them another one of our classmates ... Ojiro, I think his name was. Ojiro asks to join the three of us at lunch, and we accept him with open arms. He gives us his phone number, and we immediately add him to the group chat we made last night.

"Welcome to the group." I smile at Ojiro.

The four of us walk to class together.

"I meant to ask you yesterday," Denki taps my shoulder as we round the corner, "can you just make snow or can you do other things?"

I laugh. "It's just snow, but I can do multiple forms of it, like soft or sticky, sleet or pellets, and if I really focus, I can drop a whole sheet of it at once. I can also harden it to be as tough as ice if I want to. Mostly I just use my quirk as projectiles right now, but I'm hoping to diversify it a bit."

"God, that's so cool."

"Thank you, Denki. I think your quirk is cool too, though. I mean, there's a lot you can do with it."

"We're going to be best friends, I just know it." He links his arm through mine.

Seems like we've gotten here a little bit early. The only other person here is Iida.

"Oh, good morning all!" He waves at us when we walk in.

"Morning, Iida!" I smile at him, breaking away from Denki to go talk to Iida.

"Hello, Cooke. How was your commute?"

"What are we? Salarymen?" I chuckle, leaning against the wall. "It was fine. How about you?"

"Oh, it was pleasant enough. I nearly lost this pair of pants to a wad of gum on my bus seat, though." Iida smirks.

"Oh no! That's awful!"

"It's quite alright."

More classmates file in. Midoriya and Uraraka find Iida come over to talk to him.

"Good morning Midoriya! Uraraka! Have you two met Cooke yet?" Iida gestures to me.

"I don't think we have." Uraraka says. "Hi, I'm Ochaco Uraraka!"

"And I'm Izuku Midoriya." Midoriya offers a small smile. "Your quirk is Snow right? If it's alright with you, I'd like to learn a little bit more about it! I think you can use it in a lot of interesting ways since it's just a simple emitter-type, it allows you to get creative-"

"Talkative, huh?" I cross my arms over my chest. "I'm Jade Cooke, by the way. What would you like to know?"

Midoriya procures a notebook from God knows where. Maybe that's his secret hidden quirk. He asks pretty much any question under the sun and I answer as best as I know how. For some reason, he want to know my parents' quirks.

"Uh, my mom's quirk is Liquid Nitrogen. She can spray freezing cold water, and my dad's is Deadeye. He can hit anything with perfect accuracy."

"That's really interesting! And how do you use your quirk typically?" Midoriya is frantically writing notes.

"Mostly projectiles and snowballs, I guess? It's a little hard to think of uses other than that."

"I think you could use it for both offense and defense, though. Because you said you can harden it to be as hard as ice, right? So you can create barriers! They might not be as strong as metal, but they can also provide a distraction for you to move from place to place under cover."

"That's ... actually not a bad idea." I say. "Thank you."

Aizawa comes in and orders us to take our seats.
