chapter seventy five: the betrayal
The bell of the elevator dinged as the doors slid open, leading out into a dark park that was lit with just a few street lamps. Six pathways met in the center of the park leading off into different directions, they could hear the sounds of cars in the distance from the street. Viktor stepped out of the elevator first as his siblings cautiously followed him, glancing around with clear confusion.
Lila laughed as he looked around, "Cool." she had a different reaction to majority of the family, her excitement contrasting with their concern.
Five walked into the middle where he noticed the small statue of Reginald's face, below it there was a plague that read; "Obsidian Memorial Park, graciously donated by Reginald Hargreeves on this 1st day of October 1989" He furrowed his brows slightly as he read it quickly, now being even more confused than he had been when he entered out.
The elevator dinged again, the sound of the doors opening and then "Luther?" Viktor asked as he turned and finally noticed his brother standing there , a mix of confusion and then relief on his face at the sight of the family. "Anthony?"
Five turned around quickly just at that, looking immediately into the direction of the elevator, immediate relief and reassurance rushing through his body just at the sight of his husband. His mouth fell slightly agape, eyes widening in disbelief as he looked at his husband standing in the doorway, looking entirely fine as if nothing had happened to him, as if he had always been there with them.
He wasn't sure if Anthony was actually there or if it was something that Klaus was doing, but in that moment he couldn't care less whether he was physical or a ghost; he honestly just wanted a hug, some sort of comfort from the only person he actually found consolation in.
Luther looked towards Viktor, "Oh shit," he stated, glancing towards his brother-in-law just for a second before back at his brother. "You can see me? You can us?" he added in.
"Yes!" Viktor smiled wider. "Yes!" he answered again as he jumped into his brother's arms.
"We're alive?" Luther asked. "We're alive!" he answered his own question as he hugged Viktor, lifting him up off of the ground slightly. Klaus clapped and Lila looked at them with disbelief, the others all displaying their shock.
Anthony looked over at Five, his lips curling into a smile as he stared over, he was unable to even wait another second before blinking over to stand in front of the boy who still looked completely and utterly confused and in shock at what was happening.
"Hi," Anthony said as if it was something so causal.
"Hi," Five replied anyways.
The siblings talked behind them but neither of them were even listening to anything, Anthony pulled Five in to a tight and restricting hug; holding onto him as if it was the first time he'd seen him in years. Five hugged back hesitantly, gently almost, as if he was afraid that he'd hurt the boy that had been dead only mere minutes ago, both of his arms wrapping around his back and carefully holding him delicately.
Five closed his eyes and almost breathed a sigh of relief as his body melted into Anthony's; the warmth radiating off of him contrasted greatly with the cold and lifeless ghost he had held an hour ago. One of his hands moved underneath his flannel on his back, just feeling his warm skin before moving his hand to touch the side of his hip; this was so different from the last time he had touched his lover, he was real now and he could feel every single part of him.
