She had punched him.
I gazed down in awe at Ivanna as she worked on cleaning my hand, her tender touch light as a feather. Her own hand sported a bruise from where her fist had made contact with Matthews face, though thankfully no blood in sight.
"Pass me the bandages," She muttered holding out her hand to Zeke.
I sighed, "I said I'm fine."
She firmly pulled my hand back when I tried to wriggle it away, glaring at me, "Keep still idiot. Maybe if you didn't go around punching your teammates, then you'd be fine."
Naveen sniggered from the corner, "She has a point Kio."
I rolled my eyes, "Nobody asked you to talk."
Naveen laughed and got up, walking over to where we were stood, "Though, you did hit him too Ivanna, are you sure your hand's ok?"
Ivanna shrugged as she finished bandaging my hand, "I'm fine."
"Are you sure?" Naveen pulled her hand off mine and held it up to his face, "It looks a little bruised."
My jaw locked at the sight. He was holding her hand.
"Kioshi."
I dragged my eyes over to Zeke who subtly shook his head and mouthed for me to calm down. I took a sharp breath and turned away from the sight of Naveen with bambi, heading over instead to grab my jacket, slipping it over my shoulders.
"Are we going or what?" I glared pointedly at Naveen.
He didn't seem to get the hint.
"Oh yeah," He smiled, "You should come with us Ivanna."
Her eyes flickered to me momentarily, "Where?"
"We normally go to the bar to celebrate a win," explained Zeke as he tidied away the first aid kit, "If your not busy you should come."
She looked hesitant, "I don't know..."
"You should," offered Naveen, "It'll be fun." He then proceeded to lift her hand to his mouth.
And press a kiss on the back.
I snapped my head away, storming out the door before she could answer. I didn't stop until I was at my car, slamming the door shut behind me.
We were supposed to be taking my car to the bar so there wasn't long until they followed after me.
I silently hoped Ivanna had declined the invitation. The thought of her at the bar no doubt tangled in Naveen's arms possibly kissing him had me tightening my grip on the steering wheel.
I took a few deep breath, trying to reign in the sudden outburst of anger. I hated the fact that something as small as holding her hand had triggered me.
I wasn't jealous, I wasn't. I just didn't like seeing him so close to her. That was all.
The car door opened and Zeke slid in the passenger seat, "She's coming with us."
I groaned, "Tell her she can't."
Zeke closed the door behind him, "If she's that important to you then tell Naveen-"
I stiffened, "She's not important to me."
He simply raised his brow, "Are you trying to convinced me or yourself? I've known you for more years than I can count and you've only ever gotten all territorial for one other girl."
