The next day I was at the library, my head buried in a textbook as I tried desperately to push the events of the previous night to the back of my mind.
"Focus." I hissed to myself, slamming my palm into my head.
I just couldn't get Adam's stupid face out of my head and that really sucked because I desperately needed to work on the assignment seeing as Kioshi had seemingly completely forgotten about it.
I let out a long breath, picked up my pen and flicked back a few pages in the textbook.
I didn't know much else I could write on ethics and philosophy.
I began re-reading over the notes I made in my notebook, comparing it to the information I had spread out on the word document open on my computer.
"Ethics is a body of study that focuses on the moral principal that influences human behaviour..." That was all good so far, "Philosophy is the study of-"
Someone cut me off, "Philosophy is the study of knowledge truth and meaning."
I looked up to find Kioshi sliding into the seat facing me.
He carried on with a smug smile on his face, "The two disciplines are intertwined, as philosophy often considered ethical questions and ethics often used philosophical ideas to better explain phenomenons."
I frowned, "I'm surprised that-"
He laughed, "I'm not a dumb jock Bambi."
I scoffed, "You had me fooled."
I noticed he was in his basketball kit, his hair damp with what could only be the sweat that glistened on his moon skin. His large tree-trunk arms lay on the desk, the toned muscles rippling with every deep breath he took. My eyes traveled back to his face to find those dark deapthless eyes of his set on mine, that stupidly cocky smile still plastered on his face.
I snapped my eyes away as heat crawled up my face under his gaze, "What are you doing here anyways?"
I didn't fail to notice the flock of girls in one corner so obviously fawning over him and shooting daggers in my direction.
Don't mind me, I wanted to tell them, he's all yours.
Kioshi rested his face on his hand, completely oblivious to the girls as his eyes stayed glued on my face, "Am I not allowed to pay my girlfriend a visit?"
He flashed me a lazy smile that had my stomach curling. Safe to say, ethics and philosophy was the last thing on my mind at that moment.
I inhaled sharply, "I'm not your girlfriend."
Another lazy smile, "Not yet your not."
"That's never going to happen Harada," I glanced over at the girls in the corner, "Besides, there are more fetching candidates waiting oh-so-desperately to fill that role."
He flashed the girls a wink and a smile and they all practically fainted at having captured his attention.
Kisho turned back to me, his brows furrowed slightly, "Is it weird that I'd rather have you?"
I rolled my eyes, "Your just saying that to get in my pants."
He smirked as he leant back in his seat, "Ok, you caught me there Bambi."
"Are you going to help with this stupid project or not Harada?"
He ran a hand through his hair, arching his neck back. The smooth column of his neck also glistened with beads of sweat, the smooth skin slick with it. My mind wandered to reaching out and sliding my hand over his surely warm flesh, maybe even pressing my lips to it and tasting his skin.
